Dante Exum Full Highlights vs 76ers (2017.07.05) Summer League - 26 Pts, 10 Ast, 5 Reb, SICK!

It is about f***ing time the jazz gives exum a chance for the coming nba
regular season. If Dante still only get 15~20 mins a game with plenty of DNP~CD
In between, he should seriously consider asking for a trade.

Don't worry, Dante is permanent rotational player this year. Zero doubt.

Trey lyles averaged like 30 ppg last summer league and then **** the bed all season against real nba talent.

Hopes should be high but cautious about Dante.

But Lyles did a lot of 1:1 and hero ball in SL, beating non-NBA defenders. Did not seem much better than his rookie season.

Whereas Dante looks much better than last year, and is playing well in the system.

True, but Lyles was shooting every time he got the ball. His shooting percentage wasn't very good.

I'm excited about Dante but as good as he has been playing, I think Mitchell is already better.

too start off Mitchell has the confidence and experience Dante lacked his rookie year. Right now they both look pretty even talent wise.

My guess is both have good years, and Mitchell has the better career overall. Its still very early, and Dante has some elite skills that we are barely beginning to see used effectively.

If Dante keeps improving like this, he will be an all-star.
His dribbling, shooting, jump shot have already improved
substantially since the end of last season.

There is something very awkward about his movements. As long as he gets it done I'm ok. When he came into this league he looked like Bambi in the headlights. At least his speed is sexy as hell.

I think it is because he is so lanky. Long arms and long legs, and skinny. I wouldn't want him to lose his quickness, but I'd like to see him bulk up a bit more.

My takeaway was the way he was always hunting for the weakness- a predator.

Last year he'd pull the ball back and lackadaisically start moving the ball around.

Now his eyes are always toward the D, looking for opportunities to attack, moving towards the basket if possible, otherwise strategically creating space or movement to increase the attack surface. Total mindset change from last season.

Dante outplayed Fultz in this match

i'd hope a 4th year, 5th pick of the draft, could outplay a rookie that has never seen an NBA game before.

Dante shot 16 times last night, Lyles averaged 18 shots. Lyles shot 48% FG with those 18 shots, to average 29 ppg.... 29 pts on 18 shots is wonderful efficiency --> http://www.nba.com/summerleague/2016/statistics/las_vegas/

Look i'm excited about Dante too, but i'm also trying to temper expectations. Summer league is only good for showing you how a player would perform in the D-League. As evidenced by Lyles last season, being able to drop 30 per game in summer league might still equate to going without a made basket for like 30 games in the regular season.

Well the good news then is, we know Mitchell would tear up the G League ..........

I can't find any highlights of 21-year old Manu Ginobili. I wonder what he was like. Super long limbs on that dude.

many people here said he is going to be a bust.
Does a bust play like this ? LOL

Dude its summer league and he is the only player there who is about to play 4th season in NBA. DeShawn Stevenson once lit up summer league in his second year averaging about 29 pts. Did he ever become a star?

That steal and pinpoint accurate behind-the-back pass by Mitchell at 2:28 in the video though... this dude is going to take the NBA by storm.

On the replay Boone is like, "And. He's. Very. FAST". LOL.

At the same time, Lyles regressed during the season because it appeared to me that his attitude soured when he started getting DNPs, which nevertheless he deserved because of his appalling play, shooting ill-advised shots, losing focus on defense and not getting good position for rebounds.

Do you want Exum to suck?

Do you want Exum to suck?

I think it's critical for our team's future that he doesn't suck. sometimes "wants" are different from "truths" though. That said, I think Dante takes a major step forward this year into a functional piece.

How about Exum switching to the wing with a Rubio, Mitchell back court??

In summer league? Ya, sometimes busts play great in summer league. Sometimes guys who never play in the nba play well in summer league too.

X has looked great so far in this summer league though. No doubt about that.

One difference between lyles great SL last year and X this year is X is playing stellar defense.
