Dante Exum will suffer the same fate as Enes Kanter.

No. They are two different kinds of players. Penny was built physically. Exum is much smaller not as built as Penny was. Exum is quicker, and such where as Penny was physically imposing and super athletic.
They might be built differently but they are about the same size. Penny was an inch taller, but they weigh about the same. And Exum is only 18, he will fill out and gain some weight. I do agree though the Jordan/Bryant comparisons are over the top.

The BIG X is more like Kobe mixed with LEbron, with suger and spice and everything nice and then a dash of KD.......

Obviously, if he was Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant, he'd have went #1 in the draft no questions asked. The comparisons are more about his drive, his ability to get where he wants on the floor, and his build. That's it. This kid will be a special player in this league. Why? He wants to be great. No one expects this guy to be an instant all-star, we just won't be surprised if it happens.

Also, it's way too early to put a stamp on Kanter's career. He's just getting started.

Suffering the same fate as Enes would mean that Exum will be coached/developed by the worst coach in the NBA. You haven't even seen Snyder at work yet...be patient.

Lol, Jordan went 3rd and Kobe went 13th, I know what you are saying but I'm just saying.

This still isn't a fair comp. MJ and Kobe had moves that Exum just doesn't have. They also managed to finish those drives by scoring almost no matter what. Kobe was better than Exum in high school and the game was so different when Jordan played that a comparison really can't be made.

But Jordan and Kobe didn't go #1 in the draft. They went 3 and 13, respectively. If you add those numbers together (16) and then subtract Jordan's number he wore (23) and then add (rounded up) the number of points Kobe scored per game in his rookie season (8) and then subtract the combined times they have each been accused of rape (1) then you get 16 - 23 + 8 - 1 = 5, which is exactly where Exum was drafted. So the fact that he would go 5 and not 1 is should not be a surprise to anybody.

Enes didn't play basketball much growing up because his dad thought it was a silly game. Dante's dad played pro-ball and he probably was born with a basketball in his hands. The only thing they have in common is that they are not from Merica.
