I think its prorated minimum... so money is the same... plus the injury protection. He likely went the place he thought he'd get some run to get the deal he wants. Maybe there wasn't much out there for him... just seems so weird in a wing starved NBA that he didn't get a permanent home.

That's true... but they also miss. The whole "if player X is so good then why did.... blah blah blah" argument is just kinda silly. Is the collective voice of all 30 GMs and indicator? yes.... infallible? nah... not even close.
