David Locke toasts Kanter on 1280

This. The stats he posts sometimes are straight disingenuous. I've never asked him to go after a player directly-- but if the Jazz have a gag-order on him preventing him from saying anything negative about the Jazz, then that's pretty embarrassing on their behalf.

Locke is employed for the fans-- he shouldn't be the PR rep for the franchise.

I don't even understand why he does it. The casual fans couldn't give two ****s about stats in general, and those of us who follow more closely won't be fooled by his misuse of "advanced analytics".

Nope.

Googled her. Apparently she was born in 1905 and was a novelist

She is EXTREMELY well known. I'm not talking well-known in academia. I would expect anyone on the street to know exactly who Ayn Rand is. She is also very popular among teenagers and early 20s types (mostly among males). She's the reason senator Rand Paul has such a stupid name. You should spend 10 minutes reading her wikipedia page as she is instrumental in popularizing libertarianism, and is often mentioned in political/philosophical/economic debates.

I am generally interested in an example? I don't need the #'s he's using but what was he talking about or who was he trying to defend with stats?

Lockes numbers get a little tough to listen to. He is generally pretty fair towards the guys. He generally doesn't get all homer with our guys. He loves Gordon like Gobert loves blocking shots, but Hayward is a bit under appreciated.

"Since Enes Kanter came back from injury Jazz defensive rating with him on the floor is 99.0 with him off floor is 104.3 (16 games)".

I have no problem with Locke and think he's actually great under the caveat that he's first and foremost an unabashed fan, an employee of the franchise, and entry-level in terms of the nerdy/junkie stuff that he presents to the public. He puts in the work and he ****ing loves it and it's weird to me that some people have such a problem with that.

Which honestly lends a lot of credence to what Locke is saying. Because the company line would be "don't even talk about this kid." Locke is an emotional dude, and for this to boil over to days 2 and 3 means that Kanter really was an ingrate.

Have to say that after reading all that has been said about Kanter, it seems HE ACTUALLY IS a self-centered spoiled brat: from his agent to his privileged upbringing as a physician's son. That said, I think he will become an offensive force in the league, which will make for some great games in the future if OKC keeps their core in place. For once I have to agree with Numbnuts.

Locke on 1280 with Hans and Scott G just said Max Ergul is the reason Kanter is an AHole. Kept telling Kanter the Jazz are screwing him by not offering him a max contract

The mother of the Republican party (Jesus being the father, obvi).

Not even hardly. She condemned religious influence in politics more than she condemned social welfare programs. She said specifically that religious conservatives were a greater threat to our society than liberals.

But seriously, let's stop talking about Ayn Rand.

For one who seems to have a problem with negative attention you sure seem to egg it on...

Love and Westbrook both played together at UCLA, they both remain close friends. That is his info and the end of it on that. It's just league wide speculation. I'm not scared of any Westbrook led team tbh. I use to be a fan, but he has taken his selfishness to another level as of late.

He's probably just having his short fun time since they're not really high on going deep into the playoffs. I mean Warriors? Really?

Infuriating, incredibly disrespectful, covring up, warts, self centered, immature, "not a language barrier, just an a-hole". Pointed to his comment of "not bringing it" and the assist differentials in Utah and OKC as proof. How that could affect him come free agency.

Locke rips him really hard.

There must be some language barrier in the "city, players , coaches , fans " part though. I mean what kind of a retard would say that to the fans?

Given the comments from multiple jazz players after the game, and now coupled with this, it's not a stretch at all to believe that Kanter was a crappy teammate.
