What's new

Day 1 Standout - Gordon Hayward

Agree. I watched for about 10 mins and then just gave up. Maybe they should advertise the show is about three guys talking with basketball in the background.

The ball bouncing in the background gives greater weight to their proclamations.

This is the biggest piece of **** broadcast ever. Like others mentioned, you're lucky to see one full possession. I don't think I've seen longer than 30 seconds of straight basketball. DJJazzyJody's tweets give me a better idea of what's going on and that's saying something because his tweets are usually 4 lame jokes mixed with a play by play update.

Terrible. They talk about Cousins and then cut to a graphic for 40 seconds showing the "Kings State of the Franchise" with stats about trading Tyreke, getting Landry, etc. Or a ****ing interview with DeMar Derozen while showing highlights of some ****ing scrimmage he was involved in previously, asking Sekou Smith what he thinks about the new basketballs, Wizards highlights, or an interview with Chauncey Billups asking him if he thinks leadership is a skill or what he thinks about Detroit's young guys? Who gives a ****. I don't understand how they think this is what viewers want to see. Complete garbage.

Worst part is now I have no excuse not to work. Ugh.

Haha.. so true... rep'd.

Seriously stupid.

And quit ruining my good name.
Your name is seriously stupid.

FYI

Klay Thompson had a strong shooting day at Team USA camp in Vegas. Ty Lawson made some noise, too. Ditto for Lillard, Kyrie and P-George

But two names that keep coming up out here in Sin City that were not widely expected to wow us: Gordon Hayward & Creighton's Doug McDermott

I'm actually really surprised Hayward stood out. I thought he spent most of his Summer playing Starcraft/Warcraft

Hayward has gotten high praise from a lot of notable sources. People who know things see things in Hayward. I hope they're right. They probably are but it's a matter of him having the confidence to do it. This is a big year for Hayward.

But he indeed appears on pictures a bit out of shape. Don't see any muscle definition on his arms.

As a Starcraft fiend, and GH stalker, I know for a fact he has been playing very little Starcraft this summer.

Agreed. This is the year for him to truly be "the man" before probably falling to the 2nd or 3rd option, or farther, as Kanter, Burks, and Favors hit their stride.

The Olympics in 2016 are a long way off. Of the players in this mini-camp, I see Davis, Lillard, George and Klay Thompson making sense for the team, although Favors and Hayward have a bit of a chance as role players. But wait until players like Randle, Parker, Gordon, Smart, Andrew Harrison, Okafor, Towns and others from the 2014 class show up.

Mentioned again too:

eta: sorry, I see it was mentioned already.
