Deal close for Houston's Robinson (Jazz possibly in the mix)

Doesn't T Rob kinda suck? Its not like Houston had anyone good playing in front of him this year.

hahaha

Why would we help the Rockets obtain Dwight Howard and only get Robinson in return?

IIMOOTM (did I do that right?) that the Jazz should help Houston get Howard. It will wreck 3 of the Jazz opponents.
Lakers will be a mess for a tleast 1 more year (until Stern/Silverstien miraculously delivers Wiggins to LAL).

Dallas will be a mess becasue they have been setting up for Howard and or CP3 and will get neither. Their FA prizes could be a combination of high volume low result players like Big Al, Josh Smith, Monta Ellis and Andre Igudola. Maybe a front loaded Tyreke Evans or a Hail Mary at DeMarcus Cousins. All of which will sink them for 3 years.

And Houston. Have you noticed what Dwama Howard has done to the last two franchises he touched? New Jersey just thought about him and got stuck with Lopez with a broken foot for 60 Million. I really hope it happens because I want Royce White and Howard to team up. It would be EPIC and Houston deserves that.

Hayward & Favors are going to be up for extensions. What are you going to sign Hayward to? 10 million/year? Then what for favors? If Hayward & favors agents are smart they will decline the option and let them play the season with a ragtag bunch of rookies and cast-offs in the Jazz's professional tank job. A season like that will inflate Haywards numbers and the offers he would get on the open market. So is hayward worth 10-12 or even 14 million per year? Is he a building block? Will he ever be a top three player on any 2nd round playoff team? If not the Jazz can't afford to pay him 10-14. And if they wait he has no value a RFA. Trade him now for a player from last years draft and the Jazz get an extra 2 years on a rookie contract.

Not saying it will happen, just saying that the Jazz are going to have to ask themselves those questions.

- I think Hayward is a vital core to our future

- I don't think "money" is everything to Hayward. He'll stay if the fit is right and he's happy to be here. He won't bolt for $1-2million extra.

- I don't think he'll "follow" everything his agent has to say

- I don't think other teams will love him enough to offer $2million extra per year

- I do think he'll be worth $8-9million per year in a couple of years

- I do think Lindsey will do everything they reasonably can to keep Hayward here

Jazz should offer him th latest in the newest gaming technology, he'd be putty in the jazz hand.

For the love of God can someone please change this thread title.

Done. I had to wrap my head around what it should be.

On a general note, I would be for the Jazz getting him with the 21st pick. It seems like a good roll of the dice, though I know he hasn't set the world on fire to say the least.

The Jazz can afford to have a Core4 since it's likely neither Hayward, Favors nor Kanter will be paid MAX dollars. Gordon can definitely be a play maker on the Jazz. And he can hit the 3. He is very, very close to being an all-star level talent. Just needs to play a bit more under control and be more consistent. Obviously, he's regarded highly by some basketball execs. Otherwise, he wouldn't get an invite to USA Basketball camp.
