What's new

Got to see some highlights and our young guys have been improving leaps and bounds.

First off what a monster game by Walker Kessler. So proud of him.

Second, that high arcing teardrop shot by Sexton under the basket is so nice. It's really good to see him mixing it up and slowly adding more finesse to his game.

Finally THT. His passing/distributing skills are good and should be the bread and butter of his offense. Today he took a few mid range shots in the flow of the offense and cut out those ridiculous 3's early in the shot clock (those had been mainly leading to transition points for the other team). Keep it up THT.
The thing with THT is still that he isn't a great ball handler. He's really good at getting in the paint because of his low center of gravity and forcefulness, but he gets way too many hands in the cookie jar on his drives without being able to draw fouls.

On the flip side his eyes/mind are very quick in finding his teammates off his drives, even though they are kind of wild. He's probably the most talented pass maker on the team.

That felt good. And **** the tank!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. . .

Organizations and GMs can tank. Coaches and players absolutely can not. I’m happy for wins, but I prefer that they get them by not relying too heavily on older guys (like Conley, Olynyk and Gay) that probably aren’t in the long-term plans.

Winning with 20+ minutes going to Sexton, THT, Clarkson (who is likely getting an extension), Markkanen, Fontecchio, Vando and Kessler is just fine by me. If they have to rely on the older guys to win games, I’d rather trade them away before the deadline and then see how the younger guys fare down the stretch.

Also, either way, I’d like to see Agbaji more burn and let the kid learn from his mistakes.

Nah, I don't see it. That's just how he runs. People forget he's basically a giant. Sometimes dudes that big look a bit awkward when trying to gather speed
Fair.

Yes, Kessler has shown it before, but never as much as in this game.
He simply got more minutes in this game and opportunities. He has been playing like he did last night all season. Just usually gets taken out too quick. I mean his stats have been amazing all season before last nights game if you look at advanced stats and per 36. He just wasn't getting playing time or touches.

KO only played 22 minutes and was a negative 5. 4 rebounds, 4 turnovers, 10 points, and 6 fouls.
i hope Kessler starts to get more of KO's minutes going forward (been hoping this for a long time.)
KO should be on the trade block.
