What's new

I think we are finally getting some minutes with both Vando and Kessler on the court together. One interesting thing to watch for.

If we score 100 points, I'm gonna be pleasently surprised. Hell, I'll take 95.

I always enjoy these short handed games. It's fun to watch the guys who don't get as much playing time. They usually play really hard, trying to make the most of their time to shine. A lot of times they surprise.

I'll specifically be watching Agbaji. He looked lost earlier in the year, not knowing where he should be on offense or defense. He should have enough time in the system now, I would expect him to look much better.
Hope we'll see Ochai and Dok a lot tonight, and big minutes to Kessler, NAW, and THT. Hustle and bustle. That should be the theme tonight.

I’m in Wichita, Kansas. 8 hours from Denver, so they naturally black out all Denver games. This is one night I’m okay with that.
Kinda too bad actually. It would be pretty cool being on the other end of a trap game and this could be the night. One way or another though, we should be reaching into the grab bag of Bolmaro, Dok, Juzang and Potter and that should be fun. I’m expecting solid games from the usual suspects and breakout games from NAW, Kessler, THT and Agbaji. Let’s see if this team continues to be opportunistic in ‘next man up’ mode.

He's out with a sprained ankle.
Ok but who is Tec? Like is that his full name?
Just saw another poster say its simone. So its weird saying that he needs to step up in a game that he wont play in.

Why not? What are we saving him for?
uh if he keeps getting hurt he won't be tradeable at all. Its bad enough that he might already not be so kind of have to monitor the minutes. If he does play b2b then they have no interest at all in trading him until this summer though so to that point yeah might as well burn him out so Sexton can get back in the starting 5 and frustrate the hell out of you

Welcome to the Mike Conley experience. He's a small aging PG who has missed on average over 30 games per season due to injury since he turned 30. Somehow they managed to squeeze 70 games out of him last season but then again Donovan was doing the bulk of the ballhandling. Since 2014 it's more typical for him to play closer to 50 games per season.

I know it was a convenient excuse to blame some of the losses on Mike being out but that's what usually happens with him. They had to know at age 35 Conley was going to be missing games.

With that said the Jazz have over $72mil in salaries for this season that are sitting out this game due to various injuries, illness, etc. It seems every time I turn on any NBA game the big name stars are always sitting out. I don't know what can be done about it...fewer games?

The only chance I see to trading Conley is if a team in the running has an injury to their pg and needs Conley to fill the role for a bit. That doesn't happen if he's injured himself. Be cautious until the trade deadline, then do whatever feels right. He's a good enough guy I don't want to see him run into the ground and really we need to be grooming new guys and seeing what we have.

So I fugure the starting lineup will be something like: NAW, Beasley, Vando, KO, Kessler?
Maybe Vando or kessler comes off the bench and Ochai starts?
Maybe Gay starts so help me god.

None of those options looks very good. Plus we just played last night. Plus Denver is a good team. Plus its on the road.
This has all the making of a blowout.

I predict a 10 point win. Abaji scores 35 and we all demand Tucker gets nailed to the bench.

The Denver nuggets played "careless whisper" to introduce the Jazz starting lineup. The fear is real.
