I can't imagine how Rudy stays engaged in the game when working so hard to get in a good position other than If he understands his limitations. I'm certain Quin and the staff see these things but not much changes.

I wonder what our record is in games where our last shot it Donovan behind the three point line catching a pass as he’s falling away from the basket and had two defenders on him.

Yep. We can certainly win any given series, but our “moneyball” approach is just saying we’ve gotten unlucky on a couple rolls of the dice and trust the numbers and roll again. The biggest blind spot is not recognizing that we can keep that same formula while making a couple finishing touches around the edges that allow us to adapt in those situations. I think the problem is first acquisition but then implementation, which is on Quin, but I feel Quin would think any adaptation is completing blowing up his moneyball and not truly giving him another roll of the dice.

And then there’s Ainge. I’m less confident in Quin’s ability to utilize than I am in Ainge give a couple (even fringe) options.
Exactly why I’m happy we got Ainge, no more turn a blind eye, no more business as usual. At least that’s my hope. To me, this loss was much worse than the one to the Spurs as we just spanked this same team in their house a week ago. A lot of issues obviously, but I have to wonder how many of them are correlated with having a part time starting point guard. Sorry but I’ve gotta think that when Conley sits out it messes with our flow.

I don’t even know what to say about this game. I think this season has shown, more than anything else, that it is still the same team as last year…both in the positive and negative directions. They keep showing that to be true, and at the end of the day it should have been expected. You bring back the same team with the same coach who has been doing the same things for many years.

Wow. Pathetic. What is the plan there? Are they instructed to avoid throwing the ball into Gobert? Are they just bad at it, so they don't try? We would have won that game with another 5-6 dunks and/or fouls in those cases. Not sure what Snyder et al are thinking.

Ugh. What are the odds anything changes? It only seems to change when Gobert gets vocal in the media unfortunately. How can the franchise miss this kind of stuff?
