Coach Hardy f…. this game by benching Lauri for ages in 3rd quarter.

Clarkson froze the rest of the team during that time by his egoistic clownlike streetball in the 3rd.

Beasley&Clarkson, most selfish players I have ever seen.

I forgot about that. Lauri hit two threes and Hardy subbed him out early. Super weird.

i thought clarkson did ok. 22 pts in 8/14 FG. a big hail mary 3 when nothing was working. this is pretty low attempt if you have seen his past few games.

now conley 5 pts 2/11, 1/8 from 3
beasley 7 pts 3/12, 1/8

we need more points from these 2

forget about defense, we are not a defensive team anyway

This is why Lauri is not a superstar, and feel uncomfortable calling him even just an allstar. He rarely shot the ball in the second half, and a good number of his shots in the fourth were desperate shots. He doesn’t demand the ball and sometimes gives it up too early. I think this can and will be fixed, but he must demand the ball and have that dawg in him.

Please stop being such an idiot.

I just knew Clarkson was going to play selfishly in the second half after getting very few shots in the first half. So predictable.

So, you think he played like an allstar in the second half? How often would you say he’s looked like an allstar in the second half? How often has he been on pace to score 40 in a game by half time only to see him sit in the corner the entire half as he’s disappeared.

This isn’t me slandering Markkanen, this is the farthest from the truth this is me playing quality control. He wants to be an allstar, then he needs to learn to play like one.

Thoughts:

- Probably the ugliest, most braindead loss of the season, and that's saying a lot at this point. Once again we had a good thing going and inexplicably went away from it. There's been some games where I've been absolutely sure Hardy is either tanking or an idiot, and this was one of them. I'm tired of seeing zero adjustments. We let someone called... (checks notes) Ty Jerome, who may or may not be a Warriors ballboy, hang 17 points on us. The dude averages 6ppg.

- I've had it with Clarkson's excruciating overdribbling turnovers. Dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble... and then a forced, lazy, telegraphed pass across the court that a 5 year old could pick off. I was this close to throwing stuff at my TV when he gave away the ball for like the third time in the exact same way. JC was one of the main architects of this stinker and I want to see some accountability. This right here is why he's a career bench player in the NBA. Clarkson cannot be counted on to manage a game in any meaningful way. He has fire but none of the BBIQ and patience you need for that. He also doesn't seem to understand the concept of the "hot hand" unless it's his own.

- Beasley is now shooting under his career average from the perimeter this season on an unthinkably preposterous 8.6 attempts (by far a career high). I understand he has to take wide open shots to keep defenses honest, but the guy is 10-44 in his last five games. That's 23% while putting up nine 3pt shots per game. He's stinking it up while bringing nothing else to the table. Just stop it. Beasley is now shooting us out of games and it looks like Hardy is unable to control him. It's incredible that this is happening while we also have the best 3pt shooter of the NBA on the team. Find me another team in the League that functions like this.

- Sexton received 16 minutes of playing time in this game (for contrast, Rudy Gay played 15). In that time, he managed to score 11 points, dish out 4 assists and grab 2 rebounds. Good things literally happened every time he was out there - he had great chemistry with Lauri, was one of the few guys who managed to put pressure on the basket and tried to play team ball. So what does Hardy do? He plays Beasley, Clarkson and Conley (2-11, 1-8 from the perimeter) instead. Of course.

- I think this game exposed a troubling undercurrent within this team. Despite all the lip service, I don't think all the players have fully bought into the idea that Markkanen is the alpha dog this season. He may score 30 points in the first half, but instead of guys thinking "Great, we have to keep riding him!" some of them go "That's nice, but now it's my turn". This keeps happening. I understand that defenses adjust and teams key in on Lauri more in 2nd halves, and that's why it's sometimes tough to keep him involved if the coach doesn't make adjustments to the offense. And Hardy never does. He's the most hands-off coach I've ever seen.

Yep. Sexton is the one guy who can put pressure on the basket and doesn't play in the 4th quarter.
Lauri is the leading scorer and they barely pass him the ball in the 4th quarter.
JC, Conley and Beasley shoot a combined 5 for 24 on 3 pt shots.

It's no wonder they lost this game. Hardy also needs to take some of the blame for this loss.
Bingo.

Oh yeah, you know what else I'm fed up with? Moral victories. "We dug in", "we competed", "we refused to go away". You mostly hear these after ugly losses. And it's usually coach Hardy saying them - you know, the dude who keeps giving Rudy Gay minutes.

I wonder if Hardy does not start to tank ad he is far from stupid. For tofday, i will defend JC. Yes he is making horrible decision ( but he allways did) but overall he was not too bad. The loss for me is on Hardy for not playing enough Colin. And on Mike and Malik for shooting so bad. We might be under 50% soon....

Infuriating. Second loss in a row in a game we should have won. Last game it was about not showing up for work against an inferior opponent and this time around it was our inability to finish a game we had under control for the most parts.

Three common denominators in those two losses.. and things that shouldnt happen:
1) Beasley automatically shoots seemingly every time he touches the ball... no matter how off he is with his shot.
2) Our bench got outscored again... which especially shouldnt happen against a depleted Warriors team who played the very last end of theirs. We allowed way too many points to the Spurs (48) and Warriors (45) benches. We should be the ones with the better bench.
3) We shoot 40% from the field and 32% or less from 3. Again, point #1 had something to do with this... but its not only on Beasley when we shoot this bad as a team.

Also... officiating sucked. Its amazing how often Draymond does those leans and shoulder bumps when he is screening and the refs just ignore them. At one time he looked like he tackled Vando who was coming to close out the 3 they ended up hitting after Draymond borderline tackled him.

You are delusional. Lauri was remarkable tonight. You should be ashamed of yourself.
One more tme.
Lauri played well i don't deny that but HE SELF MISSED WIDE OPEN 3 POINTERS AND EASY LAYUPS which should've went in.
There was idiotic decisions of Jazz guards and bad defence and lost rebounds for sure but Jazz self LOST this game as A TEAM.

Whole team needs to look into mirror and get better if they seriously wants to playoffs.
But if the goal is tanking then they shouldn't change nothing Hardy, Ainge and Zanik have to decide what's better option for longer term into this situation.

It truly blows my mind how differently we can see the games but that's OK.
You have yours opinion and i have mine opinion that's totally fine so lets not start argue.
Peace man and calmn down.

Things will change and that is fixable problem.
But don't forget Lauri is just coming to his prime he'll get better but it will take time the learning moneys needs to pay.
Lets see how good Lauri is next season keep in mind that he's first ever playing leading scorer's role so even Lauri needs some time to adjust his new game.

I was afraid Lauri's finishing touch inside will decline when he spends too much time shooting threes. that has been happening past weeks now... As much i love him shooting 50% downtown we need to see hm to get some looks inside and into foul line. We also need others to pick up their 3pt shooting if wanting to win. With this defense its vital. But I guess its ok to lose. The one drawback is missing Lauri from ASG if getting into bad losing streaks.

I think lauri missing shots is mostly endurance issues? He's very active from 1-3 then 4Q just sit in the corner and go for rebounds. Spurs targeted him late in the game 1v1 they must have sensed he's gassed. Need to preserve him in the 4th I think.

He is clearly playing like an all star. He is not a superstar though and I don't think anyone is expecting him to become one.
