I always get so excited when he is going on one of the local stations to talk. Then they go on yammering about weather or politics or other **** I don't care about for 10-15 minutes... stick 5 minutes of Jazz talk in there where they throw some softball questions and its over... truly frustrating.

DL is a master at killing time and giving long winding answers on things unrelated to basketball and really filling a ton of air time. He is on 700 right now... literally has not talked any Jazz at all.

Gotta get those softball questions in. Would want to risk asking a tough question about blowing a FREAKiNG 3-1 lead in the playoffs or anything. But what do you expect from a guy with What 5 DUI’s? Spence is horrible, I can’t believe the guy keeps getting chances.

That's because he wasn't asked about anything Jazz related until the end. I do think his background is unique and I appreciate hearing his perspective. I also understand your frustrations.

I understand business side of saying nothing in the interview all GMs are fading around BUT We constantly aren't hear even any rumors and league insiders know nothing about UT.

I’d love to hear his thoughts on the history of the PG position in Utah since his tenure started.

All he would do is talk about how good each guy was, and to an extent he’s right, then he’d talk about new opportunities and this being a business and such, and what a pleasure it was to watch them play, and they enjoyed the journey

The truely sad thing is the jazz had an allstar caliber pg right under their nose in Mitchell and they were blind to that fact and spent asset after asset because they were in love with the idea of fitting a pg next to Mitchell when we should’ve been trying to fill the pf and athletic sf to go with Mitchell

Actually the problem was likely they've been enamored with Conley for a long time and felt he had "jazz dna" do they went after him until they got him, with nary a thought to fit or anything else. He's a good player and puts an all-star player on the team, so it must be good, right? And he is a known quantity, not a lot of risk, not a huge upside, but not a big risk of failure either, so a pretty safe move. Pretty jazz-y of them really. Swing for the singles, stay away from the fences, but try hard not to completely strike out. Happy taking a base on balls. Put butts in the seats for another year. Slow and steady maintains fiscal solvency.

That’s kinda my point... and it happens every time. We could trade Rudy and they’d open up the interview with 10 minutes about how crazy the weather has been.

Spence”we’ll get to the big Rudy trade but first... what’d you guys have for dinner last night?”

DL is a dead beat full of excuses, Gail bought the Bs , hopefully Smith fires his *** if he brings this weak *** crap under his ownership.

As long as DL is our president we will never be close to a championship. We got a new owner, we should get a new head office personnel.

I think DL has already said the revealing thing a while ago. He said the Jazz are going to try to get bigger, better at D, and more athletic. I expect them to hold that philosophy in free agency and draft.

Did he really say that. I agree with that path we need be better in those aspects. I want to see facts not words. The time is now.
