What's new

Dennis Lindsey is on 97.5/1280 The Zone

He might be self-conscious on air. I know I was when I was younger; I had a P-R job and sometimes would be on the radio. After that I did a podcast for a while and it got easier. But then you would think with how often he does interviews he would've started to relax by now.

He also may just be making sure he thinks about and is very intentional in his responses

Me, too. But he talks SO DARN SLOWLY!

it's his megamind processing that tenuous line where he is saying just enough to be tantalizing, but not enough to give away secrets. takes a lot of processing

I"m a little tired of the host telling guests they're "the best in the business."
He doesn't usually do that. today it was kind of a 'no offence' kind of phrase where he's gonna say something offensive, but he doesn't want you to be offended.

It sounds like Lindsey, Quin and staff have already talked about a path to move forward. He mentioned Dante's and Rodney's usage rate increasing. A tantalizing tidbit was the possibility of Rubio and Mitchell gambling for steals on the perimeter knowing Rudy was behind them. Which lead me to think There could be more open court action next season.

Good job by Lindsey redirecting the focus back on the team we have rather than the one we don't. I know he doesn't have much choice, but he handled it well.

I think that pretty much closes the book on Haywood for me. I'm done being angry, ready to look forward.

This is where I'm at. I was really mad the first day, a little bit mad the next, and then I was over it by that night. I'm excited for our next chapter, and I do think that some of our guys (Exum,Mitchell,Hood) would have been sacrificed to appease Hayward some more. With Rudy we have an unassailable Championship piece and now DL can get to work constructing a team that works best with his strengths.

I've been saying this since Hayward bolted. We need a 'soft' reset and build around the likes of Gobert, Hood, Exum, and Mitchell.

The world is not ending, it's just a different path.

exactly. we just need another scorer. Hayward will not be impossible to replace. it just might take next off season to do it.

Who knows, maybe we will pull a blazers this season and grab the 8th seed when everyone called them garbage last season

I am way over Hayward leaving. In Boston they are talking like they are as good as Cleveland now. Sorry but losing Bradley is going to have a big impact. They are going to have to deal with Crowder and how he feels about having Hayward on the team. They may lose Smart.

I am excited about Donovan and Exum getting minutes, look forward to see a healthy Favors and Hood. I can't wait to see Rubio passing to guys and hopefully a little faster tempo. I can't wait to see how pissed off opponents get when the Jazz "clap down" on them. This team has the potential to be the best defensive team in the league. Rubio, Donovan, Exum, Rudy and even Ingles are above average defenders. I am so over what's his name...

I'd love to see 17.5 points, 13.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 70% from the line. Having all that happen is asking a lot but if Gobert can put a season like that together, we could actually be really ****ing legit.

This is sort of prime-Dwight. Not as many points and not quite the number of rebounds but more blocks and infinitely better from the free throw line. The 70% is key. Rudy's attempts have gone up drastically year over year so I'm hoping he can get to 6.5-7 attempts per game this season and hit at that 70%.

I like DL a lot. He does think before he speaks, but he does answer the tough questions and in a good way. He gives us good insight as to what they are thinking and their approach even if all of the details are left out. I liked KOC too, but I like DL better. I like the approach of the ownership and FO.

I think DL is very smart. I like that they look for the nicest way to answer a question, and that he won't throw people under the bus even if he probably could.

Classy
