What's new

Dennis Lindsey: We will be VERY active in free agency

Any one think we go after Meyers Leonard?

Gobert/Leonard/Pleiss
Favors/Lyles/Bolomboy
Hayward/JJ/Ingles
Hood/Burks/Mack
Hill/Exum/Neto

I don't know. It seems they won't match the Crabbe's four-year, $70 million offer sheet with Nets.

I'm not sure they would renounce Leonard too.

Maybe but I say make him an offer and make Portland match.

Last season, Mack took 95 field goal attempts, Chris Johnson 194, Trey Burke 634, Raul Neto 418, and Trevor Booker 388 for the Jazz. They were five of our worst seven players as far as TS% is concerned, having ranked 373rd, 340th, 291st, 222nd, and 211th respectively in the league. Two of these guys are gone in Burke and Booker, Johnson should be gone, and Mack and Neto really shouldn't play unless Exum or Hill get hurt imo.

Add Johnson and Hill, assume a tiny bit of overall shooting growth since our guys are so young, and add in infinitely better point guard play this season which should help with spacing and therefore shot selection and efficiency, and our offensive numbers could be significantly better this season. Now consider how much better we could be on defense with a healthier frontline and the additions of Exum and Hill. Pretty scary, right? Then, factor in just how bad we were in tight games last season and this team could make a monster leap. I'm predicting we go 51-31.

It would take a massive long-term contract similar to the one the Nets gave Allen Crabbe for the Blazers to refuse to match. It would probably lead us to losing one or two pieces of our core going forward.

Atlanta fans are the worst. They just don't care. I remember the Braves winning 100+ games in front of 5,000 fans.
Definitely true. I've spent a lot of time in Georgia. People just don't care much about sports in Atlanta, even when their teams are winning. It's an odd city in many ways. It lacks the cohesion of the really great cities in America. Probably too many carpetbaggers.

If you love pro sports then Pittsburgh and Boston are the two best cities. There is such a vibe in both those towns. Chicago is up there too.
