Let's say DL one day in the distant future decides to write a book, an open and honest account about his time as the successful General Manager of the Jazz. What would the chapters of the book be and what questions would we want asked/answered?

I've often heard DL being interviewed and at times he is very specific but others he is (understandably) more politically correct or vague with his answer. The challenges of being a GM in the league, what you can say and what you can't.

I'd start with a chapter on why Coach Q was his #1 choice and whether he had many objections on the decision and a chapter on the draft picks trey, dante and trey, were they really top of the list or just the best available.

Look, he understands why you have to ask the questions, but he's just trying to stay the course, find Jazz fiber guys, draft well, develop the guys we have, rely on player development and internal improvement, accumulate assets, tell the attractive story of the Jazz organization and trying to draw on his experience of working with Daryl Morley and RC Buford all while not skipping steps.

- Who forced him to keep Ty on as long as he did. Was it KOC? Or was it Greg?


- Whose decision was it to draft Burke? (DL credited Ty at the time)


- Turner vs Lyles, who did he really want to draft.

I'd like to hear about the power struggle he had with many of those in the front office in the debate over rebuild vs. reload with the veterans. Would be interesting to hear what factors finally swung the pendulum his way and caused the Jazz to cut ties with Millsap, Foye, DMC, etc.

One chapter has to be devoted to Enes Kanter. Did he get better offers previously? Did he have any indication Enes was so discontented before Rudy started taking his minutes? Or was that the true catalyst and Enes just doesn't want to admit it?

Also, were there any decent offers for Big Al and Millsap? Many are still critical of 'letting them go for nothing." Would be interesting to see if any decent trade proposals were made or if the only deals would have involved taking on long-term salaries.

Favors? We've heard his name mentioned in trade rumors for two straight years. Have those rumors come from talks Lindsey has initiated or do other teams just recognize what a talent and bargain contract Derrick has and keep trying to pry him away?
