What's new

Dennis Lindsey

Lol. Everybody not associated with Utah talks about how they don't want to be here. Hayward left. Burke just tweeted out that no one wants to be here. Lyles isn't sad to be gone. Boozer couldn't wait to leave. Same for Deron.

But, yeah, you guys are right. Lol.

Hayward left to play for his college coach in the weaker conference. Burke is a fringe NBA guy who was dumped by the franchise for a future 2nd round pick. I'm sure that has nothing to do with it. Lyles pouted like a child when he lost his playing time and is now the 8th string PF in Denver. If he's lucky, he won't be getting dumped for a 2nd round pick like Burke was. Deron still has a home here in Utah. Must not hate it that much. Gobert, Favors, Hood, Joe Johnson, Jingles, Mitchell and Trevor Booker have all gone out if their way to praise the state and the organization.

I'm curious to see how Ricky Rubio likes it.

You may want to rethink that one about Deron.

Not sure if DWill still has that home in SLC. But he didn't hate living in Utah as you claim. And Burke was just sour grapes from being traded.
Many Jazz current and past players have liked SLC. Do those who want a party lifestyle like SLC? No. But players like Favors, Ingles, JJ, etc. have all talked about SLC being a great place. Mitchell and Bradley were both very happy to come to Utah.

Seriously green, get some professional help. It's clear you are a very unhappy and depressed person. And that inner frustration leads to transposing your anger onto whatever and whoever you can. I've seen it in a few people I know. It's not healthy.

Not to mention Booker, Carroll, Big Al and Lillard.

It's almost like there are people that think different things.

It all depends on what you like. Some people love Florida, for example, but they are usually beach queens or boating enthusiasts. You won't find them in Utah. And a whole host of other things like people who like NYC and its vast array of cultural activities and diverse peoples -- a lot different than Utah. But when it comes to the Jazz organization, they probably can't be beat in how they treat their players, which makes it that much harder to understand why Hay did it the way he did. I think his agent had a lot to do with it.

LOL.

You also made a great point in "making moves just for the sake of making moves."

1. Lindsey won the draft by trading up for Mitchell. It's rare to be able to jump that high without giving up a major piece.

2. He correctly judged that he couldn't wait on Hill and got Rubio.

3. Had no choice but to let Hayward make his decision. Can't blame him for Gordon choosing Stevens. And look, let's stop going back to the RFA situation. Many FA's do the same. Otto Porter did it this season.

4. He's avoided any stupid signings, which enables Utah to keep Hood and Exum if they want.

5. Not so sure GS has their super team after 2 more years. This season is Year 1 of the luxury tax. From what I read, their payroll and taxes is going to be around $190M. Next season? Maybe about the same? But then Thompson and Green come up for new contracts. And GS will be subject to the repeat offender penalties, IINM, from being over the tax in 3 of 4 years. Not sure pockets are deep enough to pay well over $200m. We'll see.

This. Maybe Hayward planned this since he was drafted. What do you know? After all, he had no decision while getting drafted and Jazz matching Bobcats' offer. The first chance he got, he skeedaddled.

Lindsey on 1280 this morning with PK and DJ. I could only listen to part of it. They will post the entire interview sometime, and I'll link it for y'all.

Pretty good stuff. There is probably something that appeals to everyone. The conspiracists, the Hatewards, maybe even the Trey was right crowd.

Personally I liked Lindsey talking about negotiations, saying sometimes the second best answer you can give someone is a definite no. Don't drag it out and leave the door open. He said it much better than my recap. It is probably something I can incorporate into my work and home life.
