As to the game, it doesn't matter.
Denver by 6 in a close one.
We lose again because Bell plays the 4th quarter even though we make big runs with Hayward in the game.
So, do most people like Hayward now? Have we all moved on from hating the pick?

I never hated the pick but I was definitely skeptical. I really enjoy watching the kid play basketball, though. Solid pick at number nine.

Agree on more Hayward and no Bell. Hayward has already shown flashes of being a very good starting wing in the NBA. He is nowhere near where he needs to be, but that will come with age, experience and added strength. I anticipate him being a major cog in our championship dynasty.

I have. The guy is a productive player on the court. He adds to the team in many different ways. Right now he's showing good signs in developement,
and getting more comfortable on the court. The future looks bright for Hay.

I know, I know, Bell and Miles suck and it's nice having Hayward on the court instead because at least there's some mild hope there, but how do we go about saying he's been "productive" on the court?
His rough per-36 minute averages for February (pts/rebs/assists/steals/blocks): 9.6/4.8/2.2/1.2/0. And this has been one of his better months.
I'm inclined to agree that he's a better option at SG than anything else we've got, but the honest truth is that this team doesn't really have a good option at that position for the rest of this season, barring an addition from signing that will not happen.
So you're saying is he's comparable to Andrei?

Exactly. Hayward is raw and hardly an upgrade over the 2 worst shooting guards in the league. The reasons I want him to start are development and the Jazz are going nowhere. I want excitement and don't care about the losses. If it wasn't so sinister then I'd root for them to lose.
Comparable, but Andrei also has my heart.

Jerry was right. I had no idea the Jazz were going to trade for Jefferson & Favors. Sure glad they didn't pick Ed Davis too.

To answer you question, I still hate the pick. I don't think Hayward will ever be a productive starter in the NBA. With that said I was completely wrong about his inability to play defense. I forgot you play defense with your heart as much as your feet and Hayward does seem to play good defense despite his limitations. His shooting has been sporadic and sometimes he seems hesitant to pull the trigger. The reason I want Hayward to play more is because I already know what Bell, CJ and Price bring to the Court. I don't know if Hayward can improve or not. I would love for Hayward to prove me wrong and show he can be productive. I say give the kid a shot for the remaining games. Same goes for Favors and Fes. Let the kids play more and see what you got.
