What's new

Denver Nuggets @ Utah Jazz 3/3 8:30PM MST

Can we bring back a defensive stopper like Boozer or Memo?

Because this weak *** defense that Millsap and Jefferson have been bringing the past few weeks has been worse than anything I ever saw out of Booz/Memo.

Seriously, did we stop Denver two times in a row this game? How many layups did Denver get in that first half?

We made offensively inept Boston look like the Nash/Amare Suns a few nights ago.

Ty is probably focusing a lot in getting the new guys to learn our offense. But I believe getting our team to play just a speck of defense is more important. Our defense right now is just horrid. Never seen a worse defense from this franchise. Nope, not even under Booz and Memo.

I Had a busy night tonight and didn't see a lot of the game but the parts I did see were the jazz playing well when bell was not in the game. Come on Ty. Who gives a **** if he's a vet. If he's not producing, get him out.

Omg.

Many frustrating things tonight:
-I waited all week to see Favors play and he's out....
-The Jazz get killed by threes all the time.
-The Jazz have no outside shooters, we are lucky to even get that many shots inside if it wasn't for Jefferson mad skills. Teams are more than willing to leave the Jazz wide open for outside shots cause we have no threat anyways.
-Bell takes another decently open shot and misses it as badly as I would shoot it. I'm SO SICK OF BELL. why is he in the game.
-CJ miles did well....so the Jazz are probably going to re-sign him. DAMNIT.
-Elson...non-existent
-watson open for many shots (does not take them like usual PGs), does not drive either. He's only good for stealing balls and taking charges. Very weak backup PG. Who we got next...Price? Thats just ***** great!

IF THEY JUST BEAT THE **** OUT OF THE THUGGETS I WOULD BE HAPPY FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON, but the Jazz failed to do that. *SIGH*

On the bright side...
-Still liking Harris (minus bad passes)
-Jefferson is still beast
-Milsap was OK
-Hayward still shining...HE NEEDS MORE MINUTES!!!!
-everyone played with emotion (LOL jefferson reaction when he took the charge in the final few minutes)
-Lottery pick.....

I didn't see the last play.
Would Ak have made the basket? When did Martin block it?

i'll just assume you're serious (the rational part of my brain was destroyed by that finish).

jazz got to within 2 on a 3pointer with 1.2 secs remaining. martin tried to inbound the ball, it slips, he himself deflects the ball before it even gets inbounded. meanwhile, it lands in andrei's hands, who then dribbles (know idea why) and then misses a point blank unguarded layup. the radio guys say martin deflected the ball AGAIN while standing out of bounds before the layup try. unfrickingebelievable.

about the defense...All i saw was that Miles was leaving people wide open. After they made a shot or easy layup he would point at the floor and blamed his teammates. Jefferson defense wasn't THAT bad, he had a couple blocks didn't he? In fact...he was actually boxing out lots of time. Millsap on the other hand didn't do much. Players just laugh when Bell tries to guard him. Bell has no real defense he's just a good actor when taking "charges" and tends to slip a lot.

The ball should have been ruled out of bounds... Martin let go of the ball and then touched it again, while out of bounds. We should have had the ball under our own basket with 1 second left on the clock.

Martin tried to bait AK into touching the ball while it was still in his hands. Ak didn't bite, then Martin bobbled the ball and AK grabbed it. Martin touched it again (which is when it should have been out of bounds on the Nuggets), then AK took a dribble and Martin reached for it again and may have touch it. AK went up for an easy layup and missed it by a mile. The clock expired, AK grabbed the ball and put it in.

If AK had made the original layup we would have been dying when the refs reviewed it and declared the ball out of bounds because Martin had touched it. Instead, he misses the layup and they never review the blown finish... though they certainly should have because they still needed to make sure his second layup came after the clock expired.

That was just one of a slew of horrible calls tonight.

No, I honestly didn't see it.
So AK should have made the layup anyway...

Did you watch both halfs?? the first half defense was aboslutely horrid by our front court but al stepped it up in the second half. Look at andersons, martins, and nenes points in the second half as opposed to the first. Miles defense lost us the game, along with kirilenko airballing a lyaup and martin cheating the jazz out of a win.

Wow, that's a lot for 1.2 seconds

Millsap had some of the dumbest turnovers and fouls I've seen in a long time. His passing tonight was just gross. Also, 10 points? For Boozer's replacement? We can only hope that Favors develops...

6 points out of Bell while giving up a million. Gee, what a surprise.
