Good article.
Sounds like Burks thinks he will be just fine going forward and is planning on playing lots of basketball this summer. (Something he couldn't do last summer)

I still believe in Burks! His offensive arsenal is underestimated.

It was evident he was playing at the 50% of his potential and he wasn't athletic like past seaons.

His arsenal is estimated properly. He relies on athletic ability and when that ability isn't there he is useless.

I still believe in Alec. It would be really dumb for the jazz to trade him at this point. I would keep him to see if we could salvage him.

And George Hill played with a toe injury most of the year and still looked good.

Burks was healthy enough to take the court and play. He sucked.

Ok you underestimate Burks injuries as well.

I give him the benefit of the doubt for the negative season. I want to see him in good shape with his confidence and athleticism back.

It's sad to say but he may never get those back and even if he does, his potentail has been hindered so much that it is highly unlikely he reaches it.

I think trading Burks will probably better for the both sides. Jazz shed salary, avoid going into LT and keep more important players; Burks gets to a team where he can get time without the pressure of winning.

If you think the Jazz can find a team interested in trading for Burks then do it.

But I highly doubt a team can be interested in him after the injuries he had in the last 3 seasons. That's why I say the Jazz have to try to restore the player.

I'm beginning to think that we need to keep Burks and trade Hood. I didn't realize that Hood is only one year younger than Alec is.. Having a starting-caliber SG for the contract he is on is pretty good, and we still will probably have Jingles if all else fails. Since Phoenix needs wings and we need a PG, a Hood for Bledsoe swap would make a lot of sense for both teams.

even if Burks regains his athleticism, he's never proven to be a good player really. He does some flashy things but he's historically never really been that good % wise at the rim. If he re-invents himself as a higher volume 3pt shooter / attack the basket on a closeout guy he could be useful but as a creator i don't think so. Keeping Ingles is far smarter

I'd give them both for Bledsoe
