Deseret News - Utah Jazz to work out 11 players Sunday, including UCLA's TJ Leaf

You really forget what Lyles can do. Just because he played poorly this season doesnt erase his entire skill-set. Leaf isnt that good. He just played in a fast paced system with the best passer in the nation.

Even though I'm not a huge Lyles fan, anyone we draft at his position, he will still probably be ahead of them on the depth chart unless he royally ****s it up this year. Any 4 we draft this year is going to have a hard time getting minutes.

Lyles is going to have to prove himself to me all over again. He just seems to have checked out mentally and didn't show me the maturity that I thought he showed at Kentucky.

I love Lyles potential but I see more toughness in Leaf. Besides Iso Joe, we gotta get someone else that can contribute on the offensive end and space out the floor.

I'm surprised Walt Perrin said the draft was strong for bigs and point guards, while lacking wings. It makes sense to talk about bigs in this draft, but outside the top 10 the PGs are slim pickings at best. It might bode well for Evans, Hart or whomever else they see as a PG.

White, Dozier, Mason, Sumner, Simmons, Morris, Briscoe?... am I missing somebody?

Did Mushidi withdraw from the draft? Are they counting him as a PG or SG?

Except for Kuzma of course... who can be a ROY candidate.

He'd be ahead of them for what reason? He is awful on defense, doesn't play within the framework of the offense, shot it crappy this year and his one year at Kentucky, doesn't rebound well given his length, and has no physique which speaks volumes about his work ethic. So why would exactly would it be some foregone conclusion that he is ahead of someone we draft?

He had a bad year. What did any of these college PF's we going to draft do in the NBA this past year?

Not only did lyles lose his shot he had some embarrassingly fugly turnovers

That quote caught my attention too, the way he talked about wings gave me the impression they were looking for a wing. They wouldn't do that would they?

The only wings in our range are Ferguson and Kurucs, if that. Oh, and Semi. The fact that he's saying it'll be hard to get a wing isn't exactly a ringing endorsement for guys like Bacon, Sterling Brown and others they've brought in.

Uhh, how is that surprising? There will be 5 PG's taken in the lottery, it's a strong PG draft.

These are back-ups, and that's putting it nicely for most of them.

Well, you are going to have 5 go in top 10, 6 in the lottery most likely... This still qualifies as a strong PG class. It's incredibly strong at the top.

You could even call Mitchell a PG if you want, he has potential to make the switch down the line.

Not saying I want to draft him, but I give Leaf & his agent props for coming here for a workout. In the past there have been players who (or their agents) refused to come in for a workout because they thought they'd be drafted prior to the Jazz selection.

Please, his agent is ***** making him do a solo workout.

Yeah, I was thinking more in the Jazz's range. Outside the top 10 picks, there might not be any other PGs taken in the first round.
