I've been lurking since the series started. Yes, im from spurstalk and obviously a spurs fan. There is nothing wrong with believing in your team and us spurs fans that where around prior to 1999 can relate to where you are right now but one thing that annoys me is that some of you are blaming your losses on the coach or certain players (howard, jefferson).

Did it ever occur to those of you believing that line of thought that the spurs are just better? That there is no lineup that can contend against the spurs? My team has been on fire since the all-star break tearing up teams like a hot knife through butter. There is no lineup the jazz can put together to compete and im not trash talking either. Its just the way it is.

Having said that, the jazz have the potential for a really bright future. If your front office is smart, your team will definately be a force in the west within 4 years. This last game was more about the jazz playing like **** than the spurs dominating them. If the spurs rape the jazz like tonight, in utah, i will be suprised. Spurs are good but not that good.

Im predicting utah to win game 3. That will probably be the only win though tbh.

Have faith and patience. Jazz will get there, just not this year.

Thank you for your excellent insight. It had never occurred to any of us that the spurs could just plain be the better team.

All of us were sure the jazz would win the series, and never speak with any type of hyperbole.

We also realize that we are the only sports fans who can be more optimistic than realistic.

Thank you for making our forum a much better place.

Did you really think your team had a chance in 1998 against The Jazz with Will Perdue and Vinny Del Negro as part of your starting 5?

Probably not. Even though you lost in 5 you still played competitive ball.

We're just looking for the same thing.

Yep, what Candrew said. I can live with losing to a better team, but I can't live with watching the Jazz play like ****.

This.......you ****ing mook.

I don't blame either of the two losses so far on the Spurs being a better team. Not one.

The Jazz handed both games to the Spurs on a silver platter. If our coach gets out of his own way and lets the players play, the Jazz will beat the Spurs every time. Game 3, easy win. Game 4, win. Game 5, win. Game 6, win.

100% serious

I agree, and im 100% serious too. The Spurs are good, but not that good. The Jazz can beat that team. I didnt say the same thing about our old team playing the Spurs or Lakers. That team stood no chance. This team actually has a chance. ,but that idiot Corbin has no clue what the hell he is doing.

Make the big 5 the focus of our plan of attack, with Favors on Duncan, and we can make this series competitive. The alternative "experiment" sure has failed. Miserably.

We would have size advantage at all 5 positions. We are not competitive with our current approach, and it was moronic of Corbin to think we might be. At all.

I'd also have Evans sub in instead of Howard. He gives you more. Howard would not crack the rotation.

I just assumed every team board goes to melt down when they lose and go nuclear when they get blown out in the playoffs, heck I would as well but reading some people post the same complaint over and over kinda kills my anger and turns it to maybe some people really need more mental help then me (prolly not).

Oh and I agree with Candrew you can hope and root while knowing it would really be a miracle.

I didn't think they would win, but I thought they would be competitive and they were in the first game. In fact, a few less errors and they had to chance to win that first game.

yes ebcause the spurs arent unbeatable.
corbins stuborn stupidty and belive in some mythical thing called playoff experience is making the spurs look tougher than they are

I don't think we believe our team is better or that we'd win the series. We simply want the players who should be playing major minutes on the court more often than those who shouldn't. I don't think any of us truly believe we'd win the series if these coaching decisions were made. We just think we'd be more competitive and at least have somewhat of a puncher's chance at winning a game or two.

It's posts like this that I was refering too.

Most of you are realistic about your chances.

If you had been lurking like you say you were, then you should've already known this. Therefore, what in the hell is the purpose of this thread?

Pointless and.. well, stupid. No one REALLY thinks the Jazz will beat the Spurs and win the series. Like others have said, I just want to see my team fight and at least attempt to give a **** about winning.

calling out the idiots.

Dont pretend the members of this board were going to sit idle if you won a game and NOT troll the Spurs forum, which some already have.... Im just regulating. Spurstalk pretty much had no interest in this board until a few Jazz fans got all upity about their chances and decided to try and bring the smack to Spurstalk.

Nobody, and I mean nobody on this board, seriously thought the Jazz had a chance to upset the Spurs.

There are plently more posts within posts that I could reference too... You "reasonable" posters are getting way too butt hurt over this... The origional post was meant for the extreme homers that thought you had a chance at winning the series (and, apparently, some still do).
