What's new

Did Exum really say that???!!!???

So do you actually know what goes into the formula, or are you just going to blindly follow it because it agrees with your agenda?

I'm assuming it's the latter.

Apparently what dropped Burke so low was the number of FT attempts per game.. makes sense. He was atrocious at that, while Exum really excelled during the SL getting to the line.

Why are some posters trying to make up a feud between 2 of our players?

Y'all really dislike Burke that much to the point that you hope he fails?

Stop trying to find a scapegoat for the season. We have 1 more year of blaming Corbin for everything, right?

'ts an immoral job, but it pays good.

What we say or talk about here don't really matter.

After 7 pages of discussion only these facts still stand - Exum did he say he's more comfortable at the point, and wants the ball in his hands more. (whatever that means)

He didn;t say that at all. You are dumb.

He did say it in a polite way. He has enough respect to Quin and Dennis to not say exactly what he really feels - you have to read between the line a little.

“I think I’m still comfortable at the point,” Exum said. “I still want to get the ball in my hands as much as possible. I didn’t get it a lot in my hands these last couple of games. … With Coach’s system, it’s open, but there’s been so many times where I just went away from the ball and let Trey take it."

Nobody really knows what he truly feels (except himself & probably his dad) - but I do believe that when he say he's 'more comfortable at the point' it means he doesn't want to play off the ball.

He is saying "Hey, Im good with the ball, I need to take it upon myself to be more aggressive calling for the ball and making a play rather than being passive when Trey has it."

Not saying Trey can't play point, but when Trey is handling the ball initially, he needs to be more aggressive putting himself in position to make a play off the dribble rather than just saying "Hey, Trey has the ball, Im just going to stand in this spot"

The negative in "sharing playmaking" is that when they will initially feel like they have to let the other have a turn without interruption at first, but they should both be actively trying to put themselves in position to make plays, not just stand in a spot. The more they play together, the more they will learn how to move off-ball and do things without just standing in a spot and waiting.
