How do you know what Dante meant by what he said? The fact of the matter is neither you or I, or anyone else on this green earth except Dante knows what he truly feels.


My feeling is he is half a little bit annoyed that he didn't get drafted by a team that lets him handle the rock from day one (i.e., what Payton is doing in Orlando), and half is he is trying to play nice and 'buy in' to Quin's system and see where it leads him & Trey. It's not what he's used to doing for sure hence the standing around in the corner (and Burke often not passing to him).


Given the choice though, I would say he would rather go to a team that lets him start at the Point from Day 1 the way MCW was able to do in Philly last year.

He basically didn't want to answer those questions at all by the looks of it. Especially when the guy asked "has it been difficult? during the draft process wanting to go to a team with an open PG spot?" His answer was: "With coach's system, it's open, BUT, there's been so many times when I've gone away from the ball and let Trey take it". Then just abruptly stopped with to me what seems like an 'annoyed' face.


To me it seems like he's saying he's fine with it because Quin has explained to him that the system is the way it is BUT at the same time he'd still prefer to have the ball too. But that will also depend on Trey right??? If Trey doesn't 'give up the ball' then how is Exum gonna get the ball in his hand???? As we've seen in my analysis on Page 10 of this thread:

Trey doesn't even give it up to Exum when he's defended by 2 taller guys in the paint. Let's face it Trey is a scorer in a PG's body, whereas Exum is a PG in a SG's body.


So Exum can ask for the ball as much as he wants, or try to stay 'open' as much as he wants to, but if Trey brings the ball up, holds on to it, tries to score himself, then what's Exum gonna do?

On tapatalk when you are typing your post, there are attachment options and stuff right above the keypad (querty board with the letters)

On of the attachment buttons is of a smiley face. If you open that there are hundreds of emoticons
