Trade Marvin to OKC for the Kendrick Perkins Contract. That should net us the Dallas Pick at the very least if not 2 picks: The OKC one this year with a swap of a future 2nd rounder either from Denver or the W's.
Taking on that albatross is huge for them. It also frees up space under the cap to use their $8M trade exception during the summer to get a great player to help their team. It also helps their team this year as Marvin would add more than Perk ever will again.
For us we pick up a late first rounder this year, then we get to wait on the Dallas pick. I understand that is a lot to give up, but there is no way to not give up that Dallas pick to take on Kendrick. By asking us to do it this season instead of the summer we get to take your pick this year.
My hope would be that Kendrick comes here and asks for a $2-$4M buyout of next years deal to walk to the Nets making his $9+M a little less next year.
