Do we owe Dennis Lindsey an apology?

An apology connotes the idea that I said something disrespectful to the man. This couldn't be further from the truth. I am a fan and support DL until I don't. It's the same with Mr. Snyder and his team of merry men. The franchise is moving in a positive direction and I can't complain about that.

The 2015 season can't get here soon enough.

Whiffs on free agency.

Man, im just saying, you know? Two sided my friends.

DL didn't work Burks into anything. Smh...

The Lyles/Booker complaint...you don't know that. Smh...

Kanter minimized his own value. Smh...

Drafting Burke was a good gamble. Didn't work out (still slim hope). Smh...

Lost all star Millsap for nothing. It was either Millsap or Favors. Neither was happy on the bench. And don't put this 100% on DL. If you go back and read the DN or Trib, there was a rift in the front office over rebuild or retool. Jazz were talking to Millsap, Carroll and Foye right up to the time the GS deal went down. DL won the rebuild argument over KOC, but it wasn't easy swinging the Miller vote, especially Gail, IIRC.

Minimizes value in Kanter. Seriously, how did he do that? He revealed he had been shopping Kanter since December...quietly. Then ENES and his agent kill his value with their public trade demand.

Wastes two picks on Trey. Yes, he did. Jazz had zero PG's; DL drafted need over BPA. Sometimes picks miss. Trey was a winner and leader in college.

Over works Alec into the injury. What? Alec had the injury when he was drafted and wanted to play through it. Jazz finally shut him down and made him get the surgery.

Drafts Lyles over Booker. Yes, he did. And since neither has played a single minute we can definitively say, ummm, what?

Looses Carrol. See the Millsap write-up. Also, look at DMC's stats when he played in Utah. Pretty vanilla. Would DMC have developed under Ty like he did under Quin in Atlanta? Not a snowball's chance in hell!

Whiffs on free agency. So he's not selling the farm to sign an over-priced FA and pushing one of the youngsters to the end of the bench. I think that says more about how strongly they believe in this group. A 53-win pace after the break, with Hayward sitting many games, no Burks and very little contribution from our PG's.

Man, im just saying, you know? Two sided my friends.

Yes, there is your side, since you are obviously WAY more qualified to run a team. And the wrong side, which is Dennis Lindsey's.

DL hired Quinn, that alone should shut debbie downers up. Man I haven't been this excited since 1997 about the Jazz. Some people always find ways to complain. DL overworked Burks... that is funny stuff.

Are you talking about the same alec Burks who barely played at all his first two years then got around 27 minutes per game in his third year?
The same alec Burks whose injury occurred while he was playing at Colorado university?

This kind of talk always confuses me. Were you not a jazz fan in 2006-2007? Were you not excited after a young D Will and Booz took the jazz to the WCF? The jazz team today is LIGHTYEARS away from the DWill Era teams, let alone the stcjton/malone teams...

Love me some Alec Burks!!

The Jazz did so well the second half of the season that it was easy to forget Alec was even on the team. Having him back will be a huge boost and add to my viewing pleasure. Every time he touches the ball I feel he is about to do something amazing and eye popping

He played, he just wasnt good.
16 minutes per game (plus dnps)
18 minutes per game (plus dnps)
28 minutes per game

Like I said, he barely played his first two years and then got some ok minutes in his third year so the argument that he was over worked/played and that caused the injury is a dumb one.
Also he was hurt before even coming to the jazz.
It was a dumb statement. It was boobs so it's par for the course.

Not having been this exited for the Jazz is not the same as not being excited at all. As for the DWill/Memo/Boozer teams, I enjoyed them and they were good but I never felt a real hope that they would make the finals let alone win.

I feel that the current Jazz team actually has a chance at that with what is being built. So in short, I was excited about DWill/Booz and Memo and am more excited about Gobert/Favors/Hayward/Burks/Hood and Exum.

I Respect that answer. Before the Lakers acquired Pau in 2007, the jazz were the media favorites to win the west.. there was a ton of buzz and all SLC could talk about was how the jazz were contenders. Jazz today can't sniff the playoffs, and are still so far behind the very, very deep west. I just don't see the excitement... I respectfully disagree!

Not me. I drank the Deron koolaid. Big time. I was a believer. If Bell would have stayed in Utah, I think we win it all that year.

Fair enough. When I say that I feel they can win with what they are building keep in mind it will take longer than this season. Jazz should make playoffs this year and then start really pushing deep into the playoffs next year.

Lindsey did not draft any of them. So you must be talkin bout contracts. I'd say Hayward got paid the most he could make so we can't sing praises to him for Gtime. Agree on Favors. Not sure on Burks yet. Let's see how he does next year.
We can sing his praises on Hayward because Lindsey chose to match and that was clearly the right thing to do.
