I can see airlines not wanting smokers. Makes sense. The hardest thing about being a smoker would be trying to resale anything. From a used car to your house. Getting the smell out seems almost impossible.

Also its got to be hard to find rentals because so many landlords don't accept smokers.

I smoke probably about 10 ciggarettes per month probably

Same, though it's not an even spread or anything. I will usually buy a pack or 2 during finals week when I'm super stressed. I get small cravings for them every now and then, but they are fairly easy to ignore.

Wasn't another big reason for companies not wanting to hire smokers because of the loss of productivity that comes from occasional "smoke breaks".

Drives me insane.

I hate seeing constant smoke breaks and the recruiting of other employees to go with.. so now you've got multiple smokers trying to hide in plain site of customers and even following them in the door to assist them..

awful.

Never smoked anything in my life. Having said that, I don't see the big fuss to completely eliminate smoking/smokers from our society. Seems like we've gone way overboard on this. Our society looks down on smokers more than we do dead beat dads. Curbing smoking should be No. 3,021 on our list of things we should A. spend money on, and B. care about.

I tried like 8-10 cigarettes total when I was teenager, hated how my mouth smelled after that so never really started smoking for real.

Just don't marry a smoker, all older women that have been smoking their whole lives look like dried wrinkly prunes, and they all talk like they are packing heat in their crotch.

The thing I really hate about smoking is working with people that smoke. It seems they get irritated very quickly and take like 20 breaks a day. Then they all hang out in the front of our office. So when big clients come to our office they have to pass through the smoking hurd and step over cig butts that they never clean up. So annoying.
Agree. In HS I dated a girl who smoked and no matter how many mints she used or gum she chewed, her mouth always tasted nasty when we kissed.

Used to have the same problem you cited at work. Anyone who smoked got 3-4 breaks per day as opposed to us that didn't and it was like walking the gauntlet at lunchtime or even at the end of the day. I'd take a deep breath before stepping outside and hold it until I cleared the smoke.

I already dealt with non-self-inflicted cancer, don't need the self-inflicted kind.

^^Nice, I would post The Wu-Tang Clan and Bill Murray one, but they drop a Bill Mother****ing Murray bomb. Don't want a 6 month ban.

Smoked occasionally from the time I was 18. Usually Once with my coffee in the AM and Once with my beer in the PM. Smoked a lot when I drank. I can proudly say I haven't smoked since November 1st 2011 and know for a fact I'll never smoke again. I have the upmost sympathy for those that still do. I know it's insanely hard to quit. Maybe the hardest thing I've ever had to overcome and I was a light smoker. Cannot imagine how hard it'd be for a pack a day type. As per dating or marrying a smoker. Thats a tuff one. I swore I'd never do it because it'd be to easy to go back to it. The reality is I've been seeing a girl that smokes recently and kissing her is just nasty if she's smoked recently. Too bad too, she is a cool girl. But I'm going to end it.
