It looks like we will almost certainly have a shot at either Parker or Gordon (knock on wood), so this is quite germane and all. maybe being out of the top 3 is not so bad because maybe Gordon ends up better than Parker. Do you think Aaron Gordon will have a better NBA career than Jabari Parker? I have been thinking about this a bit lately. I actually do think there is a legit chance that Gordon will be better 5 years from now.

What do you think?

Aaron Gordon is the super life-force, clearly. I simply get euphoric thinking about him on the Jazz.

Maybe, but people will never think he's better because he won't get as many buckets as Jabari. I'm gonna say no, but Gordon would dominate defending Jabari 1 on 1.

On the high side Aaron could be Blake Griffin and one the low-side he could be Kawhi Leonard. Depends how he develops his body and his offense. Whereas Parker is Melo.

I love Aaron, and was pimping him while Cyrone was still cast off to Realgm.

but even I the original Aaron Gordon homer think this is a ridiculous notion.

Jabari Parker is a prophet. A legend. A gift from heaven. The seas parted when he was born, and the angels cried.

Aaron is a cool dude. Fun player. Good addition. Chance to be a star if he develops.

I've jumped off and on the Aaron Gordon bandwagon so many times this year I can't remember where I stand right now. I do think he'll be an elite level defender, but the same could be said about Parkers offense. I think if it were my decision I just may take the gamble on Gordon over Parker.

This question is so dumb.

Jabari Parker could be one of the elite scoring players in the league very soon. His ceiling is through the roof.

Aaron Gordon has great upside as well but he will never be one of the elite scorers in the league.

I love Aaron Gordon, but you don't select him over Wiggins, Jabari and Embiid.

If you're sitting at #4, and those three are off the board, do you take him over Randle (double-double machine), Smart (top point guard in the draft), Exum (potentially elite athelete with ridiculous upside) or Vonleh (young 4/5 with good offensive touch and great length)?

If you're not in the top 3 picks (maybe even top 2) then I think any of the five of them are good picks that I'll be happy with. They're all players that would help the Jazz in the future. I was worried they'd fall out of the top 8 picks, but it seems pretty solid that they'll get one of those players mentioned. I'd love Wiggins or Parker (in that order), but I'm happy to land a guy with All star potential if that's not in the cards.

For me personally, my list is 1(a) Wiggins, 1(b) Parker, 3(a) Embiid (if he checks out medically), 3(b) Randle, 5(a) Gordon, 5(b) Vonleh, 7 Smart and 8 Exum. Considering that I see the Jazz picking 5th, I'm hoping they take Randle or Gordon.
