What's new

Does anyone still like this team?

I did that and you still keep bringing up my one Rudy comment like I do it all the time.

You're being a dick. Cut the ****.

Like I said before, go do something productive

The one hurling personal attacks at the other in every response in this interaction is you, sir.

MAybe we should target 7th place, hope for a win and get the Grizz at 1round of PO. Mike will be able to hurt his own team. At that stage i don't see us winning against Dallas, GW or Denver....

It's pretty hard to argue that trading Rudy and keeping Donovan is the right move. But that's likely exactly what's going to happen, because defense is boring, Donovan is more popular, more exciting to watch, more marketable, sells more jerseys, etc.

If we trade Rudy and keep Mitchell, I really hope Gobert goes to an awesome situation and absolutely crushes it.

Maybe then, while we're wallowing in mediocrity, Mitchell will be like "Oh, that guy was really good and I should've put effort into learning how to play alongside him".

Can’t we just trade Donovan?

Surprisingly it actually seems like this tide may be turning. I’d be surprised at this point if the majority of the fanbase is still all in on Donovan.

Just look at the financial numbers and look at the assets we have if we decided to go with Rudy. Once Rudy signed that ridiculous contract, everybody should have known he was going to be traded if we didn't make a serious run at any point.

Additional note:

I don't put as much stake on these with Rudy and without Rudy stats. Our entire system (like Rudy Gay even said publicly) is built around Rudy. We do everything we can to position him in a way that plays to his strengths on both sides. Of course our numbers are going to look better with him on the court.

We are a better team with players of Rudy AND Don's abilities, but this team lacks the passion. Lacks the teamwork. Lacks chemistry. This is a train wreck and everyone is to blame.

I’m basically paying $200 for nbalp not to watch this team.

Three reasons for me they’re unwatchable:
1. Soft as ****
2. Don is completely unlikable
3. Our ceiling is so obviously low

And people around here are acting like nothing ever happened.

Rudy could literally punch a baby and some around here would find a way to blame it on Don.

Honestly, I would've hoped that Donovan was mature enough to put the team first and not let anything that happened off the court spill over on to the court. Not passing Rudy the ball because the two don't get along off the court is petty and is hurting the team.

I agree. If Don is not passing the ball to Rudy on purpose, that's unacceptable.

To pass or not to pass would not be an issue if the right guys would have played when it mattered most.
The team open comanding leads regularly even against darn good teams.
Coach's got to surround Don and Rudy in the clutch with the guys that help propel the leads.
Then he's got to stop whatever crap is between those two dumbass headcases.
I want both in a Jazz uni.

I do not believe that the lower passing since 2020 is due to the poor relaqtionship between them. More on the fact that Mike have a better connection with Gobert than Don. The problem with Don is that he is not such a good team conductor. And as he is also struggling at money time, which make things complicated for us. Added a poor coaching and here we are....
