Does Deron Williams Choke In The Clutch?

You can say this exact same thing about Kobe or MJ. we all remember the game winers but how many last second shots did they miss though out there carrier. (Its a lot by the way).

Which is why I've never really liked calling Kobe the best in the clutch. He's missed a lot.

Never really saw Jordan miss too many. I do believe his percentage would be much higher than Bryant's.

Jordan's first 4 years in the league were not pretty when it came to winning games in the clutch. He missed alot of game winners. But as his carrier went on he made more and more of them because he got better at getting good shots in the clutch. But even them I still remember him missing quite a few. Kobe is the best clutch player in the game right now. But even he misses more than he makes.

Now, in contrast, you need to post all the times Deron did not make the play in the final seconds.

But you don't remember them, do you?
I remember MJ missing buzzer-beaters against the Pacers in the ECF and the Jazz in GM 5 of the NBA Finals (airball actually). So what? Since NBA players aren't robots nobody's going to make the shot every single time, but Deron has shown on mulitple occassions he will take and make the big shot.

Can Hopper or someone here do a Zeke vs Deron comparison? I want to do this because for one Zeke got his 2 rings being the leading scorer as a PG and you hope that Deron can get his too someday in a similiar way. Now I understand that we are'nt quite built like those Pistons and this is a different era. But still. One thing everyone keeps talking about a lot is putting a bigger defender on Deron to slow him down, like say Artest or Sefalosha. How did Zeke handle such defenders? Is there something he did that in general that Deron does'nt do as much, which might help Deron more?
After all Deron IS bigger than Zeke.

Can't help w/the Zeke/DWill comparison, but I don't think those Pistons teams could win 2 championships with the rules in place now. Back then you could handcheck, bump cutters and basically mug a player going to the basket (aka the Jordan rules). If you commit half the fouls Rodman and Lambeer did now you'll be suspended thanks to the wussification of the nba.

I don't think the Jazz can win a championship w/out a dominant low-post scorer (hopefully that's Al Jefferson). Isaiah had one of the greatest defensive teams ever assembled around him in Dumars, Rick Mahorn (who perfected the 'pull-the-chair' post-defense move), Dennis Rodman (who regularly guarded Jordan), and Lambeer, and also had the fortune of catching the Bulls before they had Phil Jackson and the Lakers when they were aging and banged up (Magic pulled a hamstring in '89 which swung the entire Finals).
