I love Podz and think we should be demanding him right now....but when August 6th comes around, I think I'd be OK taking all the picks + Moody.

Well, everyone can have their own opinion on that. If Podz is in the deal, we’re certainly getting less picks. I don’t think Lauri is worth significantly more than Bridges nor do I think he will yield that through trade. To me, all the picks + Moody is not underwhelming. OTOH, going into the season as we are isn’t this incredible option that I’m in love with.

If a Lauri deal happens it's going to be with multiple teams, not just the Warriors, so you have to think more creatively.

Another interesting Lauri trade. Not that I would do this one (Hawks pick would have to be unprotected to start), but it highlights how easily the Spurs can swing some big trades and become an instant contender.

Its not a garbage offer. Its not an offer we have to accept of course. I think its in a fair window but towards the bottom. I also don't think adding Podz means we compromise on picks (seconds were reported in the deal they can have those back). Currently the situation is GS offering Moody+1st picks and swaps+seconds according to what Shams said. He says we want all that plus Podz, JK. So that is the middle ground compromise if we really want to make a deal with them. DA might just be like "this is the price... we don't compromise" though. If they added Podz to the package I think that is when DA has a meeting to really decide what to do.

Podz on a tanking team would look like a straight up star (and might prove to legitimately be one). He has some bonkers flashes and special ability. He rebounds like a 4, is a disruptive defender, and shoots the lights out on and off the ball.
