I don’t think GSW will include Kuminga. I think the owner loves him like a son or something weird…

Warriors won 46 games in a season that saw Green go crazy and Steph stay healthy. If the lose CP3, Klay, Podz, Moody and add Lauri and Melton how many games do they win assuming Steph only misses 5-10 games and Green the same. If they are healthy they are firmly 50 wins... if Steph or Lauri miss 25 games... then what.
If Steph goes down for any significant amount of time they are in the bottom 5 of the west. If they are offering Podz, Moody and 4 unprotected 1sts then we need to make it happen before they second guess themselves.

Exactly... and he's at a point in his career where a big injury means he might be done as a top 5-10 player. I get that there are other picks that might be better... I think the Warriors picks are a very solid bet on father time.

They arent offering that.

Here's how I would rank the teams most likely to have Lauri to start the season (only including teams that have had a legitimate source name them as interested)

  1. Utah
  2. New Orleans
  3. Houston
  4. San Antonio
  5. Sacramento
  6. Golden State
  7. Minnesota

I would give him the max this year if it meant taking some off the later years.
To what end? We're going to ask for the moon because Lauri's the best player on earth but we're going to pay him less than that? I don't see the upside.

Just pay the dude (unless the matter of "savings" is tangibly important).

We’re asking for the moon because we absolutely have all the leverage and don’t have to trade him. Plus look what Mikal Bridges who is a worse player just went for.
