Honestly, I wouldn't trade Lauri. How easy is it to find a 7-ft, 50-40-88 guy who's athletic and likes living in the mountains? Jazz should hold their cards for now.

The Jazz don’t want to trade him but if a team floats some insane offer the Jazz will take it because a big godfather offer would set them up big which would set them up to get a couple stars and be able to easily build around them. As it is now it might actually be harder to do so.Honestly, I wouldn't trade Lauri. How easy is it to find a 7-ft, 50-40-88 guy who's athletic and likes living in the mountains?
Yes, people obsess over what # he ranks in at but I don't really care. His archetype is the thing dreams are made of.Honestly, I wouldn't trade Lauri. How easy is it to find a 7-ft, 50-40-88 guy who's athletic and likes living in the mountains? Jazz should hold their cards for now.
There is still the chance that we win a decent amount of games on the backs of Sexton, Lauri, Collins, Clarkson, etc and the young guys don't look amazing and don't get the development minutes we want and we miss out on the best players in the draft next year and possibly even give our pick to OKC.How many wins each player on the roster might potentially get you is the absolute bedrock of tanking discussion and ****ing terrible for conversation.
Focus should really shift to how the young guys develop. Look at the roster, the losses will come. If they don’t, then great things have happened. The flattened odds make it less necessary obsess over the standings. We will be in the mix for the top picks. That should really be enough for now.
Yeah the lack of noise around Clarkson and Collins being traded so far this offseason is concerning and tells me that nobody wants themThere is still the chance that we win a decent amount of games on the backs of Sexton, Lauri, Collins, Clarkson, etc and the young guys don't look amazing and don't get the development minutes we want and we miss out on the best players in the draft next year and possibly even give our pick to OKC.
Man that would suck. Watch Collins have a great year and Clarkson bounce back lol
I doubt this happens but it could

Tony jones was asked about them and said it was crickets lol. Clarkson is a lifer… gonna have a statue when it’s all over.Yeah the lack of noise around Clarkson and Collins being traded so far this offseason is concerning and tells me that nobody wants them
Trading those two for Lavine and a pick might actually be good business, especially if we load manage the **** out of Lavine this yearTony jones was asked about them and said it was crickets lol. Clarkson is a lifer… gonna have a statue when it’s all over.

Hell, I'm ok with attaching an asset to them to get rid of them. We have plenty of picks and young dudes. I would like to see them play at some point. And if dumping Collins and Clarkson also help us get a better pick next season then that's just the cherry on topTrading those two for Lavine and a pick might actually be good business, especially if we load manage the **** out of Lavine this year
These two are, at worst, trade ballast. If we needed to include salary in a trade, it is good to have one of these guys because otherwise we would need to give up long term pieces and a lot of them because they are on rookie contracts.Yeah the lack of noise around Clarkson and Collins being traded so far this offseason is concerning and tells me that nobody wants them
There's a pill for that. But if it last for longer than 24 hours, call @Saint Cy of JFC.After my horniness for any kind of trade wore off I’ve cooled on trading Lauri.
Key thing for me is you talking about all the young guys with a lot of promise but no superstars. That’s what we need. I feel like we have guys that will be at or around what Markkanen are. But championships aren’t built around that. But the top 5-10 players. Trading Markkanen will bring us closer to that realityIsn't this the best case scenario though? We have an all-star that fits any team construction and no need to trade him unless things get ridiculous. Meanwhile we have 8 youngsters with promise (I'm counting Kessler and Lofton) who will need to get some rotation time. The only other proven NBA players we have are Clarkson, Collins, and Sexton. Clarkson and Collins are definitely on the Block. We play in the Western Conference.
We are either in contention for a top 5 pick or one or more of the young guys steps forward and we aren't. That is a win. Or we play poorly and have a chance at Lauri plus a top 5 pick. Or we trade Lauri for something truly ridiculous and get that top 5 pick.
The only bad thing that could happen is to panic sell Lauri and that isn't happening, because Danny cares about not doing that more than anyone probably ever.
Not sure, but the odds movement is similar to what happened right before KD to the Suns.Makes me wonder what the odds were for Cleveland to land Mitchell were two years ago?
For me Ace Bailey would be my top choice. I think he has legit Tracy McGrady type upside as a scorer.I think 2025 will have at least 6 guys and maybe 7 that would have been consensus #1 picks in the draft we just had. 1-5 would leave me legitimately torn on who we should take. We just can’t mess around.
Flagg, Ace, Traore I think will have a legit shot at going #1… maybe Edgecomb if Olympics are an indicator… Harper and Hugo I feel pretty good about already… want to see Malauch first before making big judgements. It’s loaded up top.For me Ace Bailey would be my top choice. I think he has legit Tracy McGrady type upside as a scorer.
No boozer twins in the 25 draft?Flagg, Ace, Traore I think will have a legit shot at going #1… maybe Edgecomb if Olympics are an indicator… Harper and Hugo I feel pretty good about already… want to see Malauch first before making big judgements. It’s loaded up top.
Isn’t Cameron boozer the second rated prospect in next year‘s draft? No boozer twins in the 25 draft?
I thought I saw something about them being in that draft. Was a long time ago though so maybe things changed
