I would guess that Kuminga isn’t in the deal but we shall see.
Lauri is probably staying.Hurry the **** up danny
It’s 50/50 to meI'd put the odds at 30/70 he get's traded/stays.
I agree if we’re talking about just today.I'd put the odds at 30/70 he get's traded/stays.
I think with Lauri’s contract complications it makes sense to bundle one of them with him to better assure passage and sweeten the return.I think I am at the 60/40 now... think he gets moved.
Also is there a follow up deal that sends out Sexton... Kessler?
I can't see us giving Lauri without it.I can’t see Spurs giving away that Atlanta pick.
Not sure. Golden State is working on a trade exception in the Klay/Dallas deal, which I imagine would be large enough to take Lauri into.I'm watching to see when that Klay trade finally is agreed to... Got a feeling part of the hang up is waiting to see if it gets wrapped into another deal.
It won’t be because his first year salary won’t be 18M.Not sure. Golden State is working on a trade exception in the Klay/Dallas deal, which I imagine would be large enough to take Lauri into.
Fair point actually. It won’t be because his first year salary won’t be 18M.
Players/Agents/Teams agree to these things before hand man. We just saw Siakim and OG stay with the teams that dealt a lot for them. These arent random events. Agents have power and trust of teams with these handshake deals. It makes no sense to me that Lauri gets traded without his extension. His market gets so much deeper after that, and he gets paid more in line with his worth. The value would have to be incredible to pull the trigger today.
What? His salary this year is $18,044,544, if they get a TPE that large or larger then they can absorb his deal. They would then be hoping to re-sign him as a UFA next offseason. No extension is happening there. It won’t be because his first year salary won’t be 18M.
A lot less salary to match for the team trading for him. He won’t be trade eligible until next year most likely depending on when the trade deadline is.It makes no sense to me that Lauri gets traded without his extension. His market gets so much deeper after that, and he gets paid more in line with his worth. The value would have to be incredible to pull the trigger today.
How are they going to create a TPE that high? What? His salary this year is $18,044,544, if they get a TPE that large or larger then they can absorb his deal. They would then be hoping to re-sign him as a UFA next offseason. No extension is happening there.
