If the offer exceeded either the Rudy or Mitchell deals, then don't we have to take it? Especially as we are unlikely to be good anyway for at least another year or two. Currently, we likely only have one decent draft pick in 2025 and if we do keep it then we wouldn't even have a first round pick at all in 2026 which wastes the pick swaps that year.

And I like Keegan but they really value him. He is said to be a no-go and their picks are less interesting to me than what Spurs or GS or Phoenix can offer.

I don't know if the Kings have enough, but they are likely in desperation mode. Fox turned down an extension because he's eerie about the future and they've basketball done nothing this summer. I love Lauri, but Kangz gonna Kangz. If they trade for him, he might walk with Fox shortly after. Their distant picks have to be considered some of the most enticing.

It's too bad Keegan is such a meh prospect.

Yeah, he might not want to sign an extension deal when he knows he could be traded six months later to a team where he wouldn't like to play. I mean with Danny shopping him now, he knows that the situation has changed from what it was earlier. Idk, I’d be disappointed to see Lauri go. He likely hasn’t even reached his peak yet.
