What is meant by super swap? Rights to swap any of the picks we have with theirs?
Correct.

Pretend the Jazz have the #5 pick, Cleveland has pick #25, Minnesota has pick #28, and Team X (who the Jazz own the swap rights to) has pick #15. In a normal swap deal, the Jazz would get nothing. With the super swap, the Jazz turn #28 into #15.

Normal swaps are going to be worthless next year, certainly, and probably a few years after that.

3.7, which is the difference between dead last in the league and 23rd.

If you only include pre all-star (i.e. pre all-out tanking), it was 6.7. The difference between dead last in the league and 11th.

Whether you like him or not. his defensive impact is incredible.
Ya minimalizing Kessler defensively is just hater talk. Bash his offense and attitude and toughness all you want but he is an amazing defender.

Someone on Twitter said Bay area radio said the offer is Moody, Podz, and 4 picks but Jazz want JK too and that is holding it up. If we got Podz and Moody with the picks that is amazing. I figured Podz was off the table Grimes/McDaniels style.

Seems like the consistent thought has been correct. A team has to blow us away to get Lauri

Spurs can offer better picks but Rockets easily better players imo. I get wanting the picks, but I'd be really excited about some of those young rockets.
Spurs actually got the best player (Vassell) to offer too, I just dont think they would.

K, but they don’t have four 1sts to trade?

Tangent: the ham-fisted way normies talk about draft capital drives me crazy. “THE NETS GOT 7 PICKS! (4 unprotected, 1 protected, 1 swap [unlikely to convey], 1 2nd rounder but they also sent out a 2nd rounder).” Yeah, those are all the same thing for sure.

If that's the offer then I say ****ing do it! I want those warriors picks more than anyone else's. For me that offer is clearly better than what the Nets received for Bridges.

Honest question. How far back does trading Lauri put us? Guys like him do not come around often. How long do you think it would take for us to find another player like Lauri?

I think the swaps we could get are as valuable as a first... I also think we or GS could work with Wizards to send them a few seconds to get rid of that obligation (its top 20 protected in 2030 and becomes a second... here's 3 or 4 seconds and some cash... we good?)

If I were Danny, I’d just be patient with this. If Lauri is ok with tanking with the young guys, I would sure extent him and see what the next offseason (which I believe will be a better year for hunting) has to offer. If we then manage to sign a star for multiple years and one of our young players looks like ready to pop (which I think is possible), we are suddenly heading to playoffs and can start building further from there.

This would certainly be the prudent approach (and most likely), but it doesn't fit in our hyper "give me a dopamine hit" now society.
