None of them make us better just more broken toys. Unless its a top 5 pick who cares? Eh...
 
I'm not the biggest fan of Kuminga. I get that he's athletic and has some defensive presence, but he's not much of a shooter or ball-mover, and he doesn't even seem to be that great off-ball slasher either. He's okay near the basket, but I think he's been more sizzle than steak so far.

"so far" is the key there. he's only 21 and averaged an efficient 16 ppg and he has the size and athleticism every team covets. pretty good base to start from. there is a reason he's a deal breaker for gsw.

you can improve as a long range shooter and ball mover.

If you trade for a top 5 pick on draft night it costs too much... if you trade for a pick or infinity picks that turn into top 5 picks you get a ton of value. This is literally how Boston built its title team. Get someone else's picks because they yolo their picks... have enough other picks to fill in through trade.

We may have to have our own picks be the top 5 picks... which is why tanking is on the table. The other young players are helpful and you never know who turns into the next Lauri.

It doesn't really grab my imagination as a fan tho.
 
Realistically the tone never changed. Utah just opened the phones up after the Bridges trade, offers probably improved marginally, but still not close on major sticking points. We will hear more when he approaches the extension date

Yes... and I think part of the change is we see reality. I think we also see that we can get 101% of a high valuation. I think before we were asking like 200% or GTFO.

I maintain the Tone-o-meter is 31%

How about this? I would do some serious modifications but... Send the Lakers John Collins instead of Kessler. Add a young player from the Bulls. Make one of the Bulls picks unprotected and give the Jazz all the Lakers picks unprotected and remove the 2027 protection and in two Laker swaps.

Now that the Lakers have Bronny they will undoubtedly win multiple championships. Mainly because Silver knows it would be good for business and it has been too long between Lakers rings. He can't have them in drought like that.
 
Guys, this ain't happening. We needed someone to panic and panic is not happening. Jazz just need to trade Kessler and we have a bottom 3 record WITH Lauri and Sexton.
 
Feels like there won't be movement until around when he can sign his R&E. If he isn't traded then he will sign a fully maxed R&E and then talks will meaninfully pickup when he can be traded again.

I'm a little worried Ainge got too greedy here. Again.
