Donald Fires FBI Director who's investigating Russian Election Hacking

Used to vote straight R for major offices but have since left them behind and now I vote a mix of R, D and I.

I haven't seen anyone explain why Clinton should be investigated (for the 11th time if we are referring to Benghazi) or her emails (3rd time?)? Has there been new evidence discovered? So why should she be prosecuted?

I'm extremely fearful that what we are seeing today is a normalizing from the right of attitudes and behaviors of 3rd world despots and dictators. In healthy democracies you don't just prosecute a political opponent because you don't like them and see them as a threat to your power. The obsession... the fetish, that some of you have with hillary is just stunning. Just what crime have you folks fantasized her doing? Never mind, don't answer that. I don't want to even know.

The truth is, there's so many smoking guns here involving Manaford, Flynn, Russian collusion, and the Trump cartel that it's insane. If I had to venture a guess, Flynn, Manaford, and Junior are going to be faced with a plea bargain or years in prison. Manaford in particular. He's been dirty with suspicion of money laundering for the Russians for decades. I hope Mueller turns him and he spills the beans.

This swamp needs to be drained. Mueller's team of 17 other prosecutors are going to drain this dirty Trump Swamp. After that, we need to desperately focus on cybersecurity and voting machines. No doubt in my mind that Russian bots creating fake news and "malfunctioning" voting machines had an impact on this election. It won't be looked at by the Dump cartel. But it will once he's impeached and we have a change of guard in congress. If the Graham-Cassidy Trumpcare passes, I think that all but guarantees a Pelosi and/or Schumer controlled house and senate in 2018.

I don't think you have a developed thought in your head. A constant hand to mouth connection is the only thought process you've ever been able to follow.

really?

you fail to see how a vote enacts and inniate violence against your fellow human being?

do you need examples?

The President continues to fashion a counter reality:

"President Trump early Friday called reports of Kremlin-linked groups buying Facebook ads to sway the 2016 election part of a "Russia hoax.":

http://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...russia-hoax-continues-now-its-ads-on-facebook

Recognize this for what it is....

"As observers of totalitarianism such as Victor Klemperer noticed, truth dies in four modes, all of which we have just witnessed. The first mode is the open hostility to verifiable reality, which takes the form of presenting inventions and lies as if they were facts. The president does this at a high rate and at a fast pace. One attempt during the 2016 campaign to track his utterances found that 78 percent of his factual claims were false. This proportion is so high that it makes the correct assertions seem like unintended oversights on the path toward total fiction. Demeaning the world as it is begins the creation of a fictional counterworld.”

― Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century

“You submit to tyranny when you renounce the difference between what you want to hear and what is actually the case. This renunciation of reality can feel natural and pleasant, but the result is your demise as an individual- and thus the collapse of any political system that depends upon individualism.”

― Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century

“Once truth had become oracular rather than factual, evidence was irrelevant.”

― Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century

“Believe in truth. To abandon facts is to abandon freedom. If nothing is true, then no one can criticize power, because there is no basis upon which to do so. If nothing is true, then all is spectacle. The biggest wallet pays for the most blinding lights.”

― Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century

What is truth?" Sometimes people ask this question because they wish to do nothing. Generic cynicism makes us feel hip and alternative even as we slip along with our fellow citizens into a morass of indifference. It is your ability to discern facts that makes you an individual, and our collective trust in common knowledge that makes us a society. The individual who investigates is also the citizen who builds. The leader who dislikes the investigators is a potential tyrant.”

― Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century

“If the main pillar of the system is living a lie,” wrote Havel, “then it is not surprising that the fundamental threat to it is living in truth.”

― Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century

Mueller is now moving onto former and current Donald staffers. Spicy just lawyered up.

Mueller is disgusting.

one of the most corrupt swampthings ever.

So it looks like the wheels have fallen off the dumptrump wagon to me. I even doubt Manafort is going to be seriously reproved or taken into the courts and convicted of anything.

It looks like a case where the accusers have more to hide than their accused.

this thread will last 8 years

i hope it does because it will be the first time after 2 terms of a repubclian preisdent, a republican will be chosen!

What is your basis for this?

certainly it would not be from the leading "news" from mainstream media at the moment. But wait until he tries to do something the fascist cartelists have good reason to be angry with him. oh, no, don't get me wrong. "fascist" means someone who does not believe in democracy as our Constitution would construe the term, perhaps in the vein of establishing a republic that is not a pure "democracy" but which would protect individual rights from the mobs of the day. With things such as "equal protection under the law" and limited government powers.

Mueller was a "good buddy" of the infamously corrupt Comey who dithered about whether Hillary should be prosecuted or not.

Unfortunately, my own direct experience with the FBI in trying to get them to investigate some corrupt judges in Clark County Nevada led to the inescapable conclusion that the Vegas office was not really a "law enforcement" organization, but a sort of "enforcer" for relevant political interests. This opinion appears to be born out of their blindness to illegal campaign funds obtained by Harry Reid through trusts which could not legally make political campaign contributions. As well as later revelations of Reid's corrupt practices in cahoots with his son Cory in using heavy handed tactics to clear the way for their development plans with some Chinese corporates.

Let's just say, under the present "interests", if Trump had done something like that, I'd be supporting his impeachment.

An FBI official of Mueller's rank who is on board with the politicization of FBI law enforcement decisions which heavily favor any political interest, prosecuting one offender while ignoring even greater offenses by his friends, is indeed corrupt, and indeed a DC swampthing.

There must have been alt-right talking points put out yesterday or today to reassure their useful idiots that the investigation, which is certainly moving forward, is dead.

good times

So your answer is no? You have no proof? Just a feeling or something you are repeating from a talk show host you heard?

Mueller was a "good buddy" of the infamously corrupt Comey who dithered about whether Hillary should be prosecuted or not.

You mean the guy who did prosecute Clinton at a very inopportune time and had his investigation come up empty handed? Cool story bro.

I am not sure why you prefer these wild goose stories to just looking at facts that are easily found.

I dont know that Mueller or Comey are or are not corrupt but I give most people the benefit of the doubt until an ounce of evidence proves otherwise. You and others have shown no real evidence and are just spreading lies and smearing their name with nothing. It is really a very awful thing to do.

Not sure how you think going after Clinton and Trump is politicizing one side. That seems like the FBI has gone after both sides and are doing it because there is probably cause. One came up not guilty (Clinton) We shall see when the investigation is over what Trump's looks like. Obviously investigations take a long time to conclude and the evidence is not given to the public during the investigation. Clearly there is enough evidence that not only did Comey go after Trump so has Mueller and basically every high ranking FBI official feels like the investigation is warranted despite the fact that the vast majority of them are fairly conservative and much more supportive in their personal lives of the Republican party.

the political hack team in here will never cry uncle. repeat the lies one more time, maybe it'll sound good.

honest people don't just talk over the facts calling the other side out on what they are doing.

a growing number of folks are tired of the democrat party doubling down on all the stuff they looked at in deciding to vote them outta office.

keep on babbling, you're the pros. you've got a little pulpit in Jazzfanz where people just quit coming here to express any of their views. you drive them all away with this smug contempt for others and overzealous shutdowns of actual people with original viewpoints.

no question Hillary and Obama falsified reports on Benghazi claiming it wasn't terrorists just honest outrage against some damn video nobody ever cared about.

no question their failure to adjust security on valid concerns cost American lives.

no question Obama and Hillary did supply ISIS as an asset in favor of their wish to supplant Assad.

no question Obama and Hillary supported the policy recommended by leading financial kingpins concerned with global overpopulation of keeping America's borders open, with a bonus of building their political base. Associated offenses that have angered many Americans include doling out better financial support for illegals than our own vets, undermining American's wages with cheap "virtual slave" labor in abundance.

no question Obama politicized the federal agencies, supplanting the Bush political hacks of course, and opened up regulated data illegally for purposes of political destruction of their opponents. And hey, even of their own teammates in the mainstream media.... just to be sure they understand the consequences of reporting stuff they down want pushed out on the public.

I dunno, maybe Trump will be no better, but the fact that the "establishment" Americans want changed is working so hard against him is just reassuring.

more and more, Jazzfanz just looks like an organized truth denier's club.

ABC News has obtained, from online archives, some of the ads Russian assets placed on Facebook. Specifically those with an anti-immigrant message. Apparently they were targeted to very specific audiances in swing states. Sen. Warner, ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, is particularly interested in understanding how the Russians managed that specificity: “How did they know how to target [the audience] with such exquisite specificity?” he asked. “Frankly, [the posts appeared] in areas where the Democrats were, perhaps, a little bit asleep at the switch? How did they have that level of specificity? That's one of the questions we need answered.”

Some of those ads can be viewed here:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/russ...-pushed-trump-viable-option/story?id=50140782

“Their goal was to spread dissension, was to split our country apart, and they did a pretty good job,” said Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Facebook told Congressional investigators about a series of posts from a group calling itself “Secured Borders,” which had the look of a grassroots American, anti-immigrant organization. Many of the group’s posts, retrieved from online archives by ABC News, include pointed, pro-Trump messages.

“How dare they accuse Donald Trump of racism and sexism just because he’s concerned about the well-being of Americans??” read one using an image of actor Jack Nicholson, dated Oct. 19. “If wanting to remove criminal alien scum from our streets is raciest and deplorable, then by all means count me in that basket!”

Interesting.

Republicans are still in denial despite Facebook turning over to Congress documents that show that Russia bought over 3,000 ads. Many of these ads spread fake news on Hillary Clinton (think PizzaGate), BLM, and Muslims. Just today I listened to The Daily and how Twin Falls thought for week that Syrian refugee men raped a 5 year old handicapped girl... And that their local government was working to cover it up.

So keep rubbing the denial stick repubs. I'm sure you'll climax eventually. But by then will Trump even have a presidency left? 9 months already and he hasn't passed anything.

I'm so tired from all of this winning!!! LMFAO

I don't believe it's the fault of any member of this online community that America is as divided as it is at the moment. I can understand people not wanting to read threads that are, in essence, focused on that divisiveness. But, at this point in our history as a nation, social media is a major form of communication, and the subject matter therein will often be a microcosm of the greater society of which that social media is a part. This is the longest running of any of the threads focused on the Presidency of Trump and the role of the Russian government in their effort to influence the 2016 election. There is a significant number of American citizens who believe the entire Russian investigation is a hoax. But that itself is a part of the conversation and one aspect of the divisiveness. It's nobody's fault, it simply is what it is at this time. This is American history and we are living it. I had decided that, in my lifetime, this is the worst divisiveness I've ever experienced. But, watching Ken Burn's "The Vietnam War" this week has brought back many memories and made me say "well, maybe things really were worse then". But there was no social media back then, and social media can bring out the worst in us, methinks.

“If we can avoid doing violence to the minds of unseen others on the internet, others will learn to do the same. And then perhaps our internet traffic will cease to look like one, great bloody accident.”
― Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century

Good idea. Wish I could do a better job of following Snyder's advice.
