Good point. And no. It's a joke what goes on with politics, with all the mud slinging and childish games. A good man really wouldn't stand a chance anyways. But we did this to ourselves by responding to it and tolerating it. I think that's why myself and others like Trump. He's different than the rest.

It may not be that Trump is the guy we are looking for, but he's a representation in a way of what we want, and it might get others to follow and start doing politics differently.

I want to vote for someone that just isn't up there trying to sell me something I know they can't deliver, or they don't really mean it, or they are just trying to toe the line of political correctness. I am at the point where I don't really care what their ideas are, just stop with the crooked car salesman act. That's **** has gotten old, and it's way too obvious what's going on. I love the fact that Trump will talk about donations and what's really going on.

I like Trump because he is everything I hate about politics is basically what you're saying.

In the minority, I know... but this is why I liked Romney. I felt he genuinely wanted to roll up his sleeves and make a difference.
 
In regards to trump and his donations, his tax records stated he gave something like $8500 to the Clinton foundation. Not a lot. He's a blowhard. Pretty embarrassing for the Republicans to keep him, imo.

I'm a huge Romney fan. It's too bad he really is out of touch. The guy had no ulterior motives outside doing a good job.

He's an awful politician. No charisma.
But he is smart as **** and CARES.
= no votes from a brain dead American public.

at least you don't have compulsory voting like we do .. all the brain dead voters who have no idea who or what they're voting for are just voting to avoid being fined

I saw a commentator yesterday in the news giving him a 0% chance.

He did get quite a bit of publicity out of this not sure it's worth the $1billion he was going to spend though.

The good Dr.'s prognosis is half correct... Ego... but I don't think this is about his 'real' real estate holding. It's back the the first point... Ego, and his ego estate holdings. This clearly puts him in another realm of celebrity, and how he can use that to his benefit.

Don't believe he'll spend anywhere near a billion... he is spending nothing for coverage, and even bad news is good news for him. If he loses steam, he'll negotiate a 'profitable' exit, getting quite a lot from GOP, RNC, FN, whomever...

From a business perspective (and think that's the only one he has)... his real problem comes if he maintains the top position for too long. While he'll keep a solid 20 to 25% for the next few months, as the 3rd tier candidates start to drop, the 2nd candidate consolidates some of the remaining pieces... As soon as someone eclipses Trump, be it national or in Iowa or wherever, look The Donald to start negotiating a 'winning' exit
 
The fact that people here are actually posting as if he has a chance goes to show just how dumb some people are.

I have multiple acquaintances and friends who I think would be capable of doing an extraordinary job as president, but none of them are anywhere near stupid enough (nor power-hungry enough) to run.
