I think the core of the Republican base is angry, and Trump is feeding into what they want to hear. He is feeding into that frustation, and anger that has been building on the right for 7 years. Maybe more. Much like my fellow liberals were pissed off with the Bush era were attracted to someone well spoken, and intelligent like Obama. He was the anti-Bush. Now Trump is the anti-Obama.
Whats sad/funny is he gives no realistic answers to how he will do the things he says. Just that he will do it. Its typical politcal talk, but taken to a whole new level of stupidity. People also know the Trump name, and like brand recognition they flock to what they know. With Clinton not exciting her base, and the Republican field a mess this really could happen. Trump might pull it off. I think having Trump as President would be a nightmare on many fronts. How will he use the position to benefit his company? Isnt there a conflict of interest issue there?
