What's new

Donald Trump

Paul is killing it, the only candidate that brings up the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Paul for President.

Rick perry for president
rand Paul for Vice president
Fiorina for secretary of state.

and then obama should lose his citizenship and be sent to IRAN!

Huckster probably impressed me most with his balance of seeming Presidential while also speaking intelligently without the extra bs and shenanigans that many of these clowns bring to the table.

I'm not saying I agree with all his policies fwiw.

Rubio is fake, Rubio is Michelle Bachman in a man's body

He's a smooth cat though. In those types of setting, he reminds me of Matt Damon in the movies where he plays smart people. It helps that they sound similar. I actually think that was a pretty solid group of 10 people. Not all people that I would personally want elected necessarily, but a better group to choose from than usual. Even Jeb would be hard to hate if you were giving a lot of weight to the debates. Take out Kasich, bring up Fiornia and it would be even stronger. She's a killer.

Well in their defense the other candidates just had some stellar examples of presidents all but ignoring the constitution and still getting re-elected. It is entirely reasonable for them to assume it is not worth mentioning.

Bush or Rubio will be President. It's a foregone conclusion in my mind.

Will the US buy Ricky out of his contract? Will the wolves even go for that? Can a spanish national even run for president?

president only makes like 450 ducets. small cap hit. vet minimum i think. vet like a guy who's been in the league a long time. not some old wrinkly dude who faught in jungles. like them doe. dont think I hate them. don't. mccain seemed cool.

Didn't see the debates... just a few Foxnews clips, and a very interesting article by NYT Bruni (top of Drudge list).

Before I give an uninformed opinion, of which I am most skilled, can I ask... Did Fox ask any questions about race relations in US? Didn't see it in any clips, or what I've read so far...

Skilled, uninformed opinion:

Fiorina should have been at the adult's table... she has best reception at local events, quick, concise, intelligent answers (she's no Rick Perry), and she's not afraid to take anything on, head on. Conciseness winner at the kiddy table, will hopefully move up for the CNN debate in just over a month. BTW, she missed out by polls' margin of error...

Donald Trump, still there, but didn't gain any momentum. Questions, from the start, were aimed at him... the media (including Fox) and the Grand Ol'e Party will continue to push him down. He's surprised me so far in his staying power... but think he has hit his high mark.

Jeb... clips I saw, he was very rusty... stuttered, not concise... he was no Carly Fiorina...

Kasich & Cristy made the top 10... but as sitting Gov's, were also within the polls' margin of error... Kasich, who?

Cristy brought it, and while Rand wanted to pick fights, to gain momentum, Cristy (as always) gave as good as he got. IMO, I would not start a pissing contest w/ Cristy, or for that matter, anyone from NJ...

Rand Paul... sorry to Jamezz, but he's no Ron Paul. I really do want to like him, but he whines too much, and waxes too philosophical such that I don't believe he would make things better... or for that matter 13 of 17 wouldn't make things much better, and considering our current plight... that's a horrible feeling...

Disappointed that Walker didn't seem to be there... ? Not quite ready for prime time... may catch his legs as the campaign goes on...?

Cruz rocks, but it seemed to be a rocking chair, in the clips I saw.
Rubio is a poor, but still, snot nosed brat... maybe he'll mature, but not by 2016...
Carson... wish him the best, but, he's too quiet/nice/non-combative... HC and Washington would chew him up...
others, not worth mentioning...

They asked Carson about, I liked his answer. He said something in the terms of 'We have an incident involving 2 different people from the same race and it seems like the media spins it to make a bigger thing out of it. I'm a neurosurgeon and when I work on internal organs that's what matters to me, not the color of my patient's skin'. That was pretty tight.

We know!

And to answer bjwsan's last post, the Christie-Paul fight was induced by the reporters, what is Paul supposed to stay silent? Christy defending the right of the government (NSA) to record any phone conversation from any US citizen, are you ok with that? Paul brings to the table the 4th Amendment, what does Christy do, he brings up the old 9/11 fear inducing argument. I agree that Rand is no Ron, but God forbid Christy becomes President and gets full access to citizen's privacy.

You overall sound like a mainstream media feeder who's just playing their game. I'll go with the candidate that I perceive is the closest to the principles of the Constitution.

onehate could put fear in the people. take control. that's why hitler was so loved. baaaaaaaad German economy after war. he comes in like the viagra the country needed. maybe onehate would be great for us too.

I have always liked listening to FIORINA.
Best mini debate I have ever listened to included her and Newt (among others) several years ago.
It was intelligent tv.

Here's my mainstream media opinion... here after identified by the acronym MsMO:

Rand can reply to Christi (thanks for catching my sp), but he better say something better than 'I'm for baseball and apple pie'. The Christi reply; "...that's a completely ridiculous answer' was spot on. What did Rand really mean? He picks these 'principled' fights, that do nothing, and then whines when the vast majority is against him... all three sides of the isle, left, right and center...

In MsMO, we've gladly, easily, constantly, unknowingly, gullibly, given up 90% of our personal information through Facebook, Amazon, Twiter... and 'The Beast' itself... Google... but want to fight for an extra 5%, at the risk of loosing to terrorists? Yea...

so... Rand stands up and 'defends' our rights, so that we don't try and monitor terrorist communications within the US (we have NO issues with monitoring EU/Arab/Int'l comms... this is just about w/in US)... and he says we don't get involved in international conflicts... hooray for the ostriches... everybody else, duck and cover...
