What's new

Donovan Does Dallas - Saturday February 24 7:00 MST

I really wish Gobert got to the line more. I feel like he did in the playoffs last year.

But this season, he’s gone down a little in attempts per 36 from 6.2 to 5.9

He had 15 attempts in his first game back from injury but since then he hasn’t gone to the line more than 8 times in any game.

We struggle offensively at times and in those instances, I’d like to see Gobert be fed the ball and for him to assert himself and draw fouls.

I

It was the main one and the reason no one will sign him. No one wants to be the team that kills Chris Bosh.
No one will sign him because he has to wait a year since the ruling to appeal the medical decision. That medical ruling was a win for all sides — Miami got insurance to cover most of his contract, Miami got cap space back from the league, Bosh still got his full contract paid, and Bosh would become eligible to sign with another team a year earlier. This summer there should be a couple teams who look to pick him up. Will the narrative be that those teams are risking killing Chris Bosh?

I doubt any team picks him up. I'm sure some will look into it, but if the doctors arent 100% confident in his health no one will sign him, because yes, no one wants to kill Chris Bosh.

You've been watching Gobert for how long now and you dont know how this works?

Which is why I think you’re really missing the nuances and complexities of the situation.

I really dont think I am.
Then I’ll be interested in your response when someone (who doesn’t have $25M/yr hanging in the balance) takes a flyer on him.

“The doctors cleared him and he’s miraculously healed.”
“Medical science has come a long ****ing way in the past two years.”

Some variation of the above.

Yeah, I clearly dont think either of those things is going to happen.
