No, you did not.

I read your post and thats why I asked my question. But I wasnt really caring about the answer I was just pointing out the poor logic you had in the post.

You made some assumptions about the situation you dont know. Mitchell like most NBA players stays up late most nights.

So again, would you rather he works on his game or does something else at that time? Personally I think he is smart enough to make good decisions for himself to get better at basketball. I would not second guess and blame him for working hard on his game.

Let me spell it out for u. The great ones don't stay out all hours of the night. They get sleep so they can get extra work in each day, that's how u get better!!

It's a misconception that most players are bar hopping and clubbing every single night or even most nights, I'm sure some do, but not the good ones. Players will find a good time here and there when schedules are lighter.

Nobody said he was bar hopping and clubbing. Staying up late does not mean that is what he is doing. From what he posts he is usually watching a movie/tv show and hanging out with his girlfriend.

But thanks for making incorrect assumptions again.

Almost every player stays up late because their schedule demands that. They tend to play game late at night and then after games fly out or if not flying out they are too worked up from playing an intense game of basketball and need time to relax and come back down.

There is nothing wrong with staying up late and sleeping in. Its just a different sleep schedule than you might have.

Yep, MJ went to bed early right? He finished games at 10 pm and went straight to bed....

Staying up late and staying out are not the same thing.

Wow!! Do u think I don't know this. I don't go to bed till 1:30 most nights and wake up at 6 to walk the dogs then go to work, and it's more then enough sleep for me

Cool, I mean you clearly assumed something else before when I said staying up late but I guess you figured it out now.

Thats not enough sleep for an athlete but good for you I guess.

I bet it's not enough sleep for you. I mean, I'm sure you function just fine on 5.5hrs of sleep a night, but I bet you are not functioning at 100%. If you almost never get 7-8hrs consistently (more than a week of 7-8hrs every night) you probably don't even know what 100% feels like.

And there is a very strong correlation between lack of sleep and alzheimer's, so be proud of your lack of sleep all you want... until you get dementia.

This is hilarious...a bunch of guys sitting on their asses watching games trying to advise what an elite player should/shouldn't do. I'm sure Donovan will recover just fine from his illness. And I don't think he is at risk for Alzheimer's just yet.

But really, aren't we blaming the wrong person? I want to know who the hell let him in to the facility that late. Fire the trainer, fire the security guard; they are the enablers who didn't protect Donovan from himself.

Have any of you ever scored 40 pts in an NBA game? Or are MD's? If so, I'm sure your opinions are valid. If not, it's just amazing to believe you knwo what's best for Donovan. IMO, he can do whatever the hell he thinks is best. If a poor performance (by his standards) is bothering him so much he can't/doesn't want to sleep until he's worked a few things out or cleared his head, then let him go exhaust himself on the court. He'll sleep much better, I'm sure.
