I love how this is phrased as "set the record straight" while he does nothing but side step the 2 biggest rumors he's supposedly addressing here. He more addresses the Rudy question than he does the Utah question. After some of the BS he spewed for 2 years you can't listen to him now and not say there's a monumental change in what he's willing to say about being here lol. What a PR puke.

Me to @oneye every time he posts.

He says "We're good" about 10 times. What else is he supposed to say? What's the magic formula to satisfy oneye?
He actually says "we're good as teammates" Very careful phrasing there. How did the Utah question go everyone?

Can someone actually quote relevant parts of this interview or provide time stamps? Donovan isnt nearly interesting enough for me to listen to a podcast with him on it.

“Are you happy in Utah”

Donovan: “Im living my dream, playing with great teammates, of course im happy” but avoiding the Utah part completely.

Okay bro, go f*** yourself with your garbage non-answers. Admit you hate it here and gtfo.

Yeah, it’s not like every single guy speaking on it got negative reactions. Donovan as usual, is a crybaby bitch. Oh people don’t agree with you on something? You’re probably right 100% of the time and should act like a child when you don’t get your way 100%….oh wait you always do.

Never once did he say that he would play exclusively in Utah for the duration of his career in this interview. He's likely already packed his **** up.

I don’t think that’s what even I’m asking for. Address the current rumors directly or stfu with your totally publicity motivated interview where you address literally nothing.

Oneye is desperately trying to push Mitchell away so that Mitchell can't hurt him later.

You see it a lot in people with abandonment issues. It's very sad. I hope he gets help.

You know when parents get divorced and their kid goes to therapy and the therapist explains to the kid it is not their fault......

Well in Oneye's case the therapist and parents all agreed it was his fault and there was a custody battle on who was forced to have custody. The judge said it wouldn't be right if he was forced to punish one parent so it was decided they would do a blind auction, each parent put down on a folded piece of paper how much they'd pay in child support to not have to have custody.

The difference between me and oneye when it comes to hating on Donovan is that I dont give 2 ****s if he likes Utah or not. I dont need him to suck the state's dick off to be happy.

Just play some defense here and there and dont always be in hero ball mode just cuz Rudy dropped pass.

I listened to it. The last half was really good and worth listening to. He is interesting, has a unique perspective on life, and you should listen to the last half.

I didn’t take notes as I listened. As some one who thinks all the rumors about the relationship between Donovan and Rudy are garbage, I began to think that maybe the relationship was a little more strained than I realized. Donovan started talking about how teammates don’t need to be best friends and co workers just need to co exist. But then Chris Haynes asked a question like, “Teammates don’t have to hang out, but do you think this is a relationship that should be a little bit better?” And Don said “I think it’s good.” That alleviated my doubts. I left feeling that they don’t just tolerate each other, they work well together. They aren’t best buds like Royce and Don, but they get along fine.

As for staying in Utah… his priority is winning a championship. That was the emphasis. He thinks he has a chance right and he is surrounded by guys that are focused on it. He’s also focused on right now.

They talked about how a lot of people don’t think Utah will ever win a championship, so members of the media connect dots and create a story about him wanting to leave. Donovan wishes they didn’t do that. He didn’t really comment on how he will feel when his contract runs out, he just said his priority is winning a championship. He didn’t say it has to be in Utah. I guess some Jazz fans feel they are owed that, but that’s because they are entitled fools.

The last half Donovan talks about his charity and his perspective of growing up and being one of the only black kids in a fancy prep school. It’s really worthwhile and I wish people in Utah would listen to it.

When I heard Donovan donated money to his school I was ticked off. I knew he went to one of the best schools in the country and I felt it was a case of the rich getting richer. I didn’t realize he was creating scholarships for low income kids (shame on me for jumping to conclusions!) It’s really cool the work he is doing.

Hopefully we take time to appreciate Donovan for the shortwhile we have have him (whether it’s 3 more years or 13 more years.)

I actually do believe that he's planning on leaving as soon as his contract is up and that there is truth to all the rumors about him and Rudy. I just don't obsess over it. We still have at least two more seasons with him after this one...if the front office doesn't feel like he's going to re-sign here then they can trade him before he has the chance to opt out and leave, then at least we will get some assets and young talent and won't lose him for nothing.

I just try not to think about it and just enjoy the ride while he's here. We have a really good team and if healthy, I believe that we can compete with anyone in a 7-game series. These are the good old days; we might not have a team this good again for a very long time so let's just enjoy it and not worry about what might happen a few years down the road.
