No love for Steve Blake? He is gonna help them a lot. They got rid of their biggest liability: Jordan Farmar.
Their FO quietly did a good job this offseason bolstering their bench with veterans. Without losing Brown and Odom, they managed to add Blake, Barnes and Ratliff(who can still play a bit). They did'nt just stand pat and round off their roster with scrubs because they won the championship last year. That's why they'll be tougher to beat.

Huh? Nobody was hating on Miami. They were talking about that goat molesting team the Lakers. Try to keep up.
I try to hate them so much, but all I can do is hating Fisher.... The lakers are a role-model of a team. Sure they might got a little help from an old friend when they traded for Gasol, but do not underestimate other moves the did. First, Odom is the ultimate Pippen of this age - he can do it all, still improves every year (REMARKABLE! I absolutely love the guy!) and is the perfect sidekick - Would anyone rate him so high back when they gave Shaq for him and Caron?
Second - Bynum was a risk worth taking - even with his injuries. Third - Blake... COME ON! he should have been a laker sooner! Barnes - perfect fit. ARTEST is RELEVANT again! and Brown is the pickup that every GM kicks himself for not picking up while still unheralded.
