Draft grades for the Jazz

Yes, I would say not having any rotation minutes likely available for anyone over the age of 24 is sufficiently young.

If we still had Corbin he'd find a way to get a veteran some minutes, even if he had to rip off the suit and step in there himself.

I was loling @ Charlotte, again. Bust Magnet

That trade bought good faith. It greased the wheels of future transactions. We had little use for the pick anyway. Do you want an FO that is viewed in a positive light? A GM that is in the "in"? One that gets things done without jerking the other guy around or would you like to move to Cleveland?

Lol, doing or not doing this trade does nothing to determine the future of the Jazz in Utah. All it did was create, maybe, a small amount of goodwill with the Memphis FO. So maybe at some point down the road they will facilitate a trade for us that might now requires 1 less second rounder than it would have before.

I heard that the trade was the best they could get for it, plus now we have three second round picks in 2016. Picking up assets.

I heard there were way better offers and the Jazz said, NO we want to take the worst offer. Breaking news of course it was the best offer.

Sorry, 4 hours into the day and I still haven't had my coffee.

Philly is just shameless. They're not even pretending to try to be competitive.

But holy hell they are one long, athletic team.

Well, they want to finish #1 in SOMETHING!
Philly still upset over being displaced by the 2012 Bobcats. Next step is to trade Young and MCW. Then they have a shot at winning 7 or less.

At the end of the ESPN broadcast they "team of experts" was asked to share who they felt came away with the best draft. They took turns discussing a team they were impressed with.
In the end they talked about the #1, #2, #3, #4, #6 and #7 teams to pick, and what amazing talent they all got.

I was disappointed. Not surprised, but disappointed.

People seem to either love or hate what Philly did. I love it. They are going to really suck for a while, but they are piling up lots of intriguing assets and will get even more in the next couple years. Gives them lots of ammunition for potential trades as well if they don't want to wait around.

As a Philly fan, it'd be pretty frustrating, but I'd buy the plan that the FO is selling.

Philly better cash in those assets before too long, or they'll all end up with brain damage. MCW got halfway there in just one season (if you believe the rumors). I'm pretty surprised they didn't keep Payton and trade MCW.
