OK, not on specific players. Simply on whether the Jazz will move up, down, out, buy extra picks, etc.

I'm making this a multiple choice poll, but obviously in some sections only make one choice (e.g. don't select both "keep" and "trade up" with their #5).

Ultimately, I think the Jazz stay at #5. Cleveland probably does the Orlando deal and takes Exum to pair with Irving (Waiters will be traded later). Then, I think the Jazz trade the #23 and #35 to move up into the teens. Finally, I see Lindsey buying some 2nd's (probably from Philly) for "draft and stash" prospects.

The Jazz will make a trade... we will trade something and it will be surprising.... vague enough for you. We will end up moving up from 23 either into the top ten or mid teens.

Gobert will tweet something awesome.

DL will be open and honest about what went on with Cleveland, but the deal won't come together.

Jazz will select Gordon and he'll say a bunch of really positive mature things.

The words upside, wing span, and athleticism will be used 15,000 times during the broadcast... Bilas will make the same drink up joke he always does.

Jazzfanz will melt because we didn't get Jabbari or Wiggins.

And it will be Lindsey's fault for not including Favors, Kanter, Burks, Burke and the rights to Hayward's wife (since we can't actually trade Gordon). No price too high for acquiring Wiggins, Jabba or Invalid.

Mods, please merge this with the thread that has the poll.
Thanks in advance!

At this point, I think I would be more disappointed with the 'proposed trade' gutting the team to get the over weight ego maniac or the tender disposition of a shooting guard who hesitates to shoot.

I want Gordon. Yes, all the Gordon fans have beaten me down, into submission. I said I wouldn't set my heart on a player, but dang it you've already won me over in spite of me, don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet don't be surprised if I love you Aaron Gordon for all that you are I couldn't help it, it's all your fault.

So sue me, sue me shoot bullets through me, but I want Arron Gordon running up and down the court in a Jazz uniform next year.

^^
Lol. I was one of the lone Vonleh voices surrounded by a forest of Gordonites. And they beat me down, too.
Don't get me wrong. I still think Vonleh is going to be a very good player.
But Gordon really won me over with his attitude, humility and confidence. He's the type of player that will run through the wall for his coach. And I think he raises the intensity of those around him. In a vacuum, I take Vonleh. If I have a player like Joaquin Noah on the team, I take Vonleh. If I have a bunch of quiet players like the Jazz have, I take Gordon.

I really like Gordon, but I just heard the Locke podcast thing from yesterday and he said he thinks Gordon's a 4. At the 4 I don't want him so much. I want him to be able to play the 3. Ugh. ...maybe trade Favors.

I don't think Gordon is a 4 at all. I think he could give you a lot more at the 3, especially since that's a position that's open on our roster right now.

Gordon is my favorite choice for the 5th pick I guess my worst case would be that no trade goes down and Wiggins, Parker, Exum, and Gordon all go before the Jazz. Since I'm always wrong with predictions I'll predict this scenario occurs with Vonleh going number 5 to the Jazz.

My predictions:
1. unable to trade up for Wiggins/Parker due to ridiculous asking price;
2. pick gordon with #5; and
3. trade up with #23/#35/whatever assets for Sac's #8 and take back bad contract(s).

Here's what I think the Jazz's priorities/options are:

1) Trade up for the #1 pick to take Wiggins. The asking price is high, and the question is whether the Jazz will offer enough to Cleveland to do the deal. The Jazz would offer #5, Favors, GSW #1 and #23. I don't think Alec Burks fits unless the Cavs are confident they can move Dion Waiters, but Alec Burks could be on the table.

1a) An expansion on the above is that the Jazz offer either Trey Burke or Alec Burks + #23 for #7 or #8, such that the Jazz can then offer Cleveland #5, Favors, #7 or #8 +#23.

Cleveland will take Wiggins regardless, and it will be a question whether the Jazz or anyone else can wrest Wiggins away from them during the draft. Personally, I think the chances are fairly low. I don't see how you pass up the chance to draft Wiggins if you're the Cavs.

2) If Orlando puts #4 on the market, the Jazz can offer #5 and #23. The Jazz would take Exum, and the Magic would take Smart or Vonleh.

If Exum is as wonderful as people are saying he is, then I don't think the Magic will do this.

3) The Jazz stay at #5 and draft Aaron Gordon, Noah Vonleh or Joel Embiid (2 of whom will be there). This is a tough decision, especially if Embiid is on the board. But assuming that for whatever reason Embiid is not on the board at #5, the Jazz are likely to choose Gordon. They taught Bryon Russell how to shoot. They'll try to do it again with Gordon and hope for the best.

4) The Jazz will ask themselves if they're happy with Trey Burke, and they might entertain the idea of trading Burke + 23 for another pick in the lottery to get a shooter. This could also become a component of a deal with Cleveland for #1. (See above.) The Jazz would have to believe strongly in the player they're targeting (assuming a deal with Cleveland doesn't go through). It might be worth it for McDermott if he's the next Chris Mullin.

5) The Jazz don't need 3 rookies this year and could try to package #23 and their 2nd round pick to move up to #18 or so. I think the target would be Dario Saric or possibly Kyle Anderson.

I think the Jazz are in Vegas mode so we'll probably see either the Embiid dice roll or them sacrificing little children live on ESPN to get Jabari.

Jazz will draft Embiid with #5. Trade it to the Lakers for #7 and a future 1st. With #7 the Jazz will take Marcus Smart and jazzfanz will burn the mother down!
#23 will be traded to the Knicks for a future 1st.
#35 will be used on Spencer Dinwiddle.

I could be way off-base but I feel as if the Jazz will stand pat.

#5 Noah Vonleh
#23 Jordan Clarkson
#35 Cleanthony Early (or Damien Inglis)
