are they a reflection of what he could have been dishing in utah if he actually had some players who could make shots? Or is it the nets letting him buff his stats?

assist per game with jazz

assist per game with nets

I Love Deron, but there is legitimate doubt about his effort here over the last few months.

More importantly, Paul Millsap seems like a halfass when it comes to rebounds. NOT DOING HIS 10 MILL PER YEAR JOB.

TIME TO SEND HISS *** BACK TO THE BENCH. STart Favors, and let Sap come off the bench. NO REBOUND = NO play bucko.

Enough of the sucky suck crap Millsap has been putting up.....3 rebounds a game? =Benched for 1 game. Dude needs to go back to earning his time on the floor.

Right now he takes it for granted. Make him earn it, or trade his *** in the offseason for a 2 guard that wants to play for a winning team.

Right now I think Paul is butt hurt over losing his buddy. If Humpries can put up 18 rebounds, we all know Paul is capable of the same thing. Not doing it = Not trying.

Send his Lazy *** back to the bench until he wants to play again. He doesn't deserve to start.

Start Favors.

I seriously think one difference may be the system. Deron is good enough that with free reign he will continue to put up crazy assist numbers.

But I think another part is that he just wasn't into it here anymore. He more or less stopped playing with the team as his attitude fell apart. He is better off in Jersey and I think we are too.

OP--DWill could have easily topped 11 assists per if CJ and Raja weren't the 2 worst shooters in the league. The system is obviously a factor as well, but those two are playing for the opponent at least 70% of the time.

That wasn't the game Jefferson got 19 was it? Millsap isn't your criminal, it's Jefferson for pulling down too many, with the entire Celtics team conspiring to give Jeff the bounce at Millsap's expense. If anything it is Jefferson who should be benched.

The starting 4/5 pulled down 22. That's an average of 11 each in ONE WHOLE GAME. Get a grip.

It's the same reason Chris Paul put up so many assists for a few years with the Hornets...he always had the ball and created nearly every shot for him and his teammates. Deron was asked to do other things in Utah.

impressive #'s though he hasn't exactly played the best defenses, one of the advantage of playing in the east.

The difference is the Jazz system and the fact the Nets have a few shooters on the team. CJ and Raja just killed DW's numbers. The Jazz system makes it difficult because many players pass the ball. There are probably 5 or 6 times in a game where DW passes the ball and the player could easily shoot the ball but player B passes to get an even better shot. There are a lot of games were AK or another player has 4 or 5 assists and even a third player will have 3 or 4 assists. While in NJ DW passes the ball and the receiving player shoots it.

All you DW haters are ridiculous to say DW quit on the Jazz, he played hurt and even had one game where he scored 39 pts. I think it was probably time for the change but DW leaving doesn't make him a bad person or a worse player like some haters on this board imply.

I don't think he quit, I think he had a terrible attitude this season and it translated onto the floor. This team was in terrible shape regardless of Deron being here or not.
