DX Mock Draft has Schroeder falling to 24

Actually a lot of people got that wrong. But the last couple of days before the draft things get leaked and often the mocks are better by then.

This. Even with that information I believe that there were a lot of mocks that still had the Jazz drafting Knight at #3.

My point is that just cause a mock says so doesn't mean jack to the Jazz.

This is great news, now we know Schröder has bust written all over him and we can move him down the list and put him in the 2nd round and hope some team is dumb enough to take a chance I him.

I've been calling him a bust for a while now. I've even gone as far to say he will be a career backup. It's good to see DX starting to jump on my Schroeder sucks bandwagon.

Pg depth in this class is pathetic in my opinion I'd say CJ, and Burke.

I will say that I have hope for Wolters and Canaan. I did say a couple months ago that Canaan would be the steal of the draft. Larkin has some question marks, and MCW, and Schroeder in my opinion have red flags all over the place.

I think that out of all the names you've said, only CJ has a chance. Yes, only a chance.

As much as we disagree on Schroeder I feel like he has the highest ceiling of any PG in this draft. He is raw and has some red flags but *if* he can work through those he will be the best PG in this draft an possibly fighting for an All-Star spot year after year.

I actually thought this a couple weaks ago, but now feel Burke's intangibles will help him rise up. Think he's the top playmaker in the draft and has an edge to him that will not allow him to fail. I do think CJ is the top pg in the draft.

Outside of John Stockton, I don't know that I've seen a small PG that has play making ability actually help their team do anything significant. Yes, and I include CP3 when I say everyone outside of Stockton.

Just keep that in mind when you are talking about Burke.

I agree with this 100%. I value leadership and intangibles over physical attributes, and feel Burke is one of those guys, however I wouldn't draft him in the top ten, more like 12 to 18.

But most of the analysis had Knight as a player that was falling. I think the only mocks that had the Jazz taking Knight were the ones based on need instead of BPA. And the Jazz did already have 3 bigs at the time. Several mocks will show the Jazz taking Larkin or Schroeder because the Jazz have zero PG's on the roster right now. But I doubt that's a concern for Lindsey and KOC. They know they can sign Mo to a 2-3 yr deal and have him play until a young PG (next year's draft?) is ready. Tinsley could come back for another season. Or, there are some other FA PG's available. No position is overstocked on the roster, so I trust the Jazz will go BPA with both 1st-round picks/

In this draft at 14 why not draft for need? Is BPA really going to be better than anyone else?
