Gordon is another tough one. He is mostly a known quantity right now. Will be get much better? Is there a possibility he will drop off? Have we just started to see what he is capable of or is there a well of ability he just hasn't tapped yet. In this one I decided to go the spectrum. On the lower end, is he more or less CJ Miles? On the upper end, is there any Jordan or LBJ in him? What do you all think? How will GH perform next year and what will he be recognized for, if anything.

I think he has been the same player for a couple seasons now, and always seems to be just below what he is capable of. I think he is ready for a step-change, maybe not MIP-level stuff considering he is already our best player, but he could really turn some heads next season. I think with adding a few key pieces we will see him really hit his stride and lead us to a homecourt edge in the playoffs. The biggest improvement I see in Hayward is consistency, working on those shooting streaks would be nice. I would like to see these numbers next season:

18 PPG (I want more points to go to Favors next season)
6 RPG
6 APG
2 SPG
1 BPG
48% from the field
42% from 3
80%+ FT

Either in or just misses the all-star game, voted in by the coaches of course since no jazz player has ever actually been voted in thanks to the nba media machine.

I think a season like that would be what we need to compete for real and shock a lot of teams out there.

All Star level play but he won't get in. League politics and markets will keep him out.

He's improved every season, so I don't see why he wouldn't again. I don't think his numbers will increase that much though (he won't have to shoulder as much of the offensive load... hopefully), his improvement will simply have to do with being more consistent (specifically with his jumper). I'd love to see him add some sort of back to the basket game, but I don't know if it'll happen this offseason.

I think our record will be good enough to warrant an All-Star selection for Hayward. There's less competition for him than there is for Gobert, IMO.

This is probably going to be the year his stats stagnate a bit. Hard to see him putting up many more stats given the return of Burks and (hopefully) the emergence of Hood and Exum as offensive presences.

He needs to improve his floater and his 3-pt consistency. If he adds a post game, then he takes the next step. If not, then he won't. IMO.

I don't expect any huge strides from Gordo. What I do expect is a bunch of ***-lickery towards his game by many fans in this forum. I'll say it again, Hayward for the Greek Freak, make it happen Lindsey. Championships.

I'm going to start teh *** licking right here by negging you.

Here we can see NAOS in his natural habitat, a hostile environment where he seems to thrive as the jerk he is, feeding off of mainstream views to attack people with less popular opinions. With this said, **** off NAOS...

I'm amazed at some of the counter arguments on this forum.

whatever, hotttnickkk.

How's this argument (it has two parts... can you handle that?): Hayward is a good player. He's worth that contract.

Giannis has more potential and I'm convinced that he'll be coming around as a great offensive threat with even more length. For once think outside of the box, you're more stubborn than a mule.

We would have to absorb Ilyasova's contract but I think it'd be well worth it if we're getting Giannis and a 1st round pick.

Exum/Burke/Neto
Hood/Burks/
Giannis/Ingles/1st round pick
Favors/Booker/Ilyasova
Gobert/Tomic

This gives us a very solid big man rotation and great explosiveness in our wings (1st round pick can be a 2 or a 3, would give us a flexible rotation in that area). I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat.
