If we are about to acquire Jefferson as reports say, then I am going to be the first to say I am eating crow on the Hayward pick. I hope the kid pans out and he seems to have the Basketball IQ to do so. Anyway, just thought I would man up and admit this could turn into a good pick.

Well, OK, then, good work, Mullet! One less poster we hafta see daily "Hayward Sucks" posts from. But what if the Jazz aint gittin Jefferson? Then what, eh?
 
Who was the poster that was complaining that KOC would "never" use the Trade Exception from the Boozer deal? I'm too lazy to look that up but he should be in here manning up like Mullet just did.

I think KOC knows the development time of bigs is very long, so always planned to acquire one through trade or FA if at all possible. Judging by how raw the rookie bigs Favors and Monroe have looked in summer league, they are 3-4 years away. Deron would have bolted long before they ever start showing real promise, even if we were able to move up and get them. Instead they get a very smart wing Hayward who will figure out the offense and just be asked to knock down shots initially. It wasnt a bad plan.
 
I said over and over that the Wolves would never accept the trade exception and draft picks for Jefferson. I thought it was too good to be true. I was wrong. Sorry for arguing with everyone. lol I still think Minnesota is dumb.
 
Well, KOC was unhappy the cap wasn't set as low as he'd hoped. He must have known GMs need for cap relief.

Normally you woulda been 100% correct, of course.

But when that fast-talkin, silver-tongued, schmoozy KOC gets ta connin ya....they just aint no escape, yo toast.
