Enes Kanter could = Dirk

"Enes Kanter could = Dirk"

...Dirkawitz just passed Reggie Miller on the all-time scoring list! Kanter couldn't catch Dirk if he stayed in an empty gym for the next 5 years and just shot layups! Have you been drinking or smoking dope???

You can drink dope now?

Edit: that is straight dope, Hopper!

Kanter has about half the athleticism of Dirk... Dirk is the best jump shooting big man ever with a weak inside game. Kanter is a bruiser inside and no matter if he can shoot the 3 or not, he will never be able to do it like Dirk. The comparison is ridiculous. Kanter is closer to Antoine Carr than Dirk.

Does Antoine Carr still live in Utah? If so, I would say they are much closer, might even be neighbors. I wonder if Kanter could be > Carritzki. Antoine could teach him how to bark like a dog. Imagine that, a barking turkey!

Man Kanter is young and has plenty of times to grow on his game. He also has Malone to work on his game, arguable the best power forward to ever do it. What are you talking about, Antoine Carr? Carr's career was played out of mostly being a clean up guy, bench presence. If Kanter takes his game to the key and can learn to pop fade aways/goto moves, he could be the next Dirk. And Dirks inside game is far underrated. By you, to say the least.

Lmao someone caught on to my drunk posts.

I still stand by my word, you ODB.

...hey, numbnuts! Obvious to even the most casual observer, the question was "have you been drinking OR smoking dope?" Thus ruling out that you could actually "drink dope!" But I'm sure you hot shot college pukes would some how find a way to do that eventually!

ENes Kanter is in the Tyson zone. Nothing he turns into would be too surprising. If he turns into a Turnover machine that can't play defense and rebound it wouldn't be too surprising or if he becomes Kevin Love it wouldn't be surprising.

Maybe he could catch Dirk, but he will never be as good as BIG-AL was. :(

I wish someone else had written that to summon the troll, not the troll himself. But it was funny, almost rep worthy.

Yeah that's totally true. At Kanter's age DIrk was a sophomore, averaging 17.6 points, 38% from deep, 6.5 rebs, 2.5 assists, 1.5 TOV per 36. ADvanced numbers were 17.5 PER, 56% TS, 51.3% eFG, 10% TOV%, .132 WS/48
Kanter does at the same age during the first 13 games of the season 16.2 points, 8.1 rebs, 1.2 assists, 2.1 TOV per 36. His PER is 15.7, 54.2% TS, 50.9% eFG, 10.3% OREB, DREBS are roughly the same, 12.2% TOV%, .075 WS/48
Their usage is roughly the same, not that far apart. But it was Dirk's 3rd year when he reached stardom. So we'll prolly have to wait another season if that comparison is legitimate. And Kanter would have to start developing handles to avoid TOs and has to increase his passing, as he's doing a 7% AST% that's really low.
Down low Dirk doesn't do the classic big men moves like drop steps, but he usually feels where his defender is leaning and utilizes his very quick spin move to get ahead of his defender. That was his go-to move down low.
I don't think the 2 players are really similar other than that they both can convert open midrange Js when left open by the defender in Pick and Pop situations.

But somehow he's light years ahead of Big Al

CAKAR disagrees. And Dirk tbh is a good teamdefender(But I really hate how he almost NEVER contests shots even if he could when beaten), otherwise lineups with him wouldn't be better than those w/o him in Defense Rating, as Dallas had some pretty good backups in his tenure.

Not Dirk but considering Griffin's improvement on 15-20 foot jumpers, when Enes gets in better shape he could = Griffin with less leaping ability.

As long as we're going for oddball comparisons, Enes could = Anna Kournikova with less volleying ability and not as photogenic.

Pfft.. have you recently watched a Clippers game? Griffin is taking most of his shots at 15-20 range, when he gets the ball at the post he goes for turnaround shot and Kanter doing it a lot recently. He is getting criticism for cant posting up efficiently and getting stuck at double team like Kanter. They got similar body types and when Kanter gets in better shape he would be able to do what Griffin able to do pysically (rebounding, running the floor better etc.) besides playing over the rim like he does and Enes plays more like PF than a C last 2 years. And also Enes could = Anna Kournikova with less nudity and sex on women's bathroom and in a car with Enruqie Iglesias in a music video clip of Iglesias. Now, thats an oddball comprasion.

while fans are criticizing Hayward, they gotta notice that he does not have any perimeter player helps when he needed next to him. All pressure, eyes are on him. We do not have neither spacing, game plan nor PG. Just try to imagine he's playing for the rockets or Clippers and guess his performance. He would bomb behind the arc, make some assists, blocks and find easy buckets from the transition offense. But it's totally different story in jazz. Unless we have some quality perimeter players, his efficiency will be mediocre at best but this does not change he's got character to be better and most def. talent for being glue for winning team.

i agree
hayward knows the game well and he must stay. I would trade Alec burks instead. Burke hayward favors kanter is a very very good core if we can let them stay together for couple years. We just need a good SF which we can get from current years draft. I know it sounds impossible to keep these 4 plus a really good SF but this is our only way out. We cant get a superstar by any trade or free agent so we should complete the pieces by Draft and just compensate the contracts

Jes because BIG-AL is maybe the best post-defender in the NBA. His post-D is way underrated here.
